hello all.. I am very new. i have been reading here everyday for about a week. I got my megasat 2700xl up and running with bin 143. I get great reception and quality on most every channel. however sometimes a channel works great. i change the channel only to come back to that very channel 5 minutes later and i get the no reception sign. i go in and change the tp...change the channel a few times and come back and its working again. is there a fix for this? it seems like whenever channels go from sat 119 to 110 or vice versa they take a while to come in or i have to change the tp to get reception. I hope this makes sense. also i only have maybe a 1 hour epg. or it only shows what i am currently watching. should i be using a different bin? thanks soo much!!!!

143 is the only bin that you can use for right now unless someone comes out with a clone safe bin for 2700s, which is not likely. What you have discovered is the nature of the Pansat bins. You will have other strange things happen, like watching a show, and all of a sudden it will say bad or scrambled channel. At that point, just reset the unit with the switch on the back. Pansats only offer 1-2 hour epg, except the latest bin 148 tht you can't use. Any bin over 143 will kill your Megasat 2700 XL in 3 days or less.

thanks for the info!!! so much to learn! after reading some more i am going to get a new receiver....any personal opinions to help me decide? pros and cons of your personal receiver? I heard that an HD receiver is coming out....is this true and worth the wait?
