Hello everyone; I have found much information here, and I want to thank eveyrone.

I recently purchased two Coolsat 6000 receivers; going to setup one for my Mother using 110 and 119. I have downloaded the only STB I could find. I have no idea about "key" files. I have the 2.4 loader, and I have Channel Master.

I now need to figure out exactly what I need to do in order to setup her system so that she'll have TV.

Please give me the basics....

2nd Problem:
my coordinates: 35.2 N Lat / 77.4 W Long.

The second Coolsat 6000 receiver I am working on for myself. I have an old Primestar 36" dish. I removed the old LNB and replaced it with an Invacom Quad QPH-031.

I have installed a STAB HH-120; set motor to my LAT at 35.

I set the dish to face True South, taking into consideration the 9 degrees offset; have it around 189.

I set the dish elevation to around 22.4, as the STAB site stated for me using my Lat/Long.

I then tried to get everything working. The STAB manual states to find the closest SAT to your LONG; so I used the 77 degree SAT. I have the Strength Level now up to around 97%, but I don't get hardly a thing for the Quality strength--works out around 8%. I know this is wrong.

Anyone that can pass me some instructions, I would be very thankful. I am lost. I had hoped to get the FTA system working. This RCVR is straight out of the box. I haven't uploaded anything. I had planned to upload and see about getting 110 and 119 after getting the FTA's to work.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you all in advance.

Welcome JCW,

Woof...you picked some setup for a newbie brother. OK, first and foremost, the bin for your coolsat 6k is in the Coolsat files section on this site. Next I recommend looking around the utilites download section for sat finder...it will help you get the proper coordinates for your location. I can help you out with that if you give me your zip code in a PM.

Next, download and read the installation manuals for Coolsat that are posted here. They're invaluable.

Be patient and you'll have everything up and running. I think you're pointing in the wrong direction. You do know that you need 2 LNB's to pick up the 110 and 119 right? You won't get them both with a single LNB.

Hey, Keep trying. The manual is a great. I found that my angle were a little off so some "giging" around the degrees did wonders.
I'm still trying to get a handle on the Channel master program to maximise my CS6000.
