i have a captiveworks cw600 that is rebooting. i've done everything i can think of. went back to 1.46, did factory reset, went 1.49, factory reset, 1.51 factory reset, reboot attempt file then factory reset. all of this did help.. it still reboots but only about 4-6 times within the first 2 hours... after that, it'll freeze the screen about every 20 minutes.. you change the channel up or down,,, then back it fixes it...does anyone have any suggestions... i thought the unit might be overheating so i set it on it's side and put a 21inch box fan in front of it... it still rebooted.... any help will be greatly appreciated.. thanks, jeff out.

lets start your 600s as out of the box. go to the menu and select channel manager scroll down to factory default. select and do a "all" default. next load summer v1.38 (factory bin). take the stb back to the tv and do another factory default "all" you don't have to hook up the dish.. now you have a unit as it came out of the box.take it back to the computer and load the latest bin. go back to the tv and hook it all back up. press f1 and "000" enable patch. next press menu and select installation and antenna 1st go to the sats that you are using ie 91,110,119, go to the diseqc setting and select none go up to lnb setting and select 11250 on the sats you are using. next go to the first sat and select the port that it is hooked to press the blue button you will get a message scan fta channels press no it will scan that sat. next after scan go back to the diseqc setting and set to none. go to the next sat and repeate after the scan make sure that you set the diseqc setting to none and repete the next sat. after the scan leave the diseqc setting to the port that its hooked to and go to the other sats and set them to the proper port numbers. go through the rest of the sats and make sure that you set the diseqc setting to none. the other sats that you are using should have a high signal and quality readings. i found that if you use the auto detect setting in the diseqc setting and set all sats on and scan the signal and quality is all over the place one second you may 80% and next it will drop below20% and that will cause rebooting. make sure that you set the closed caption to off this will also cause rebooting. when ever you change bins make sure that you do a factory default "all" . this will clean out the old bin. i belive that loading over old bins it will leave artifacts of the old bin and cause rebooting. try this and post back. i think this will solve your problem.
