I've had a FTA receiver for all of 3 hours now...so very new to this side of things. Question is doing a channel scan of 119 and 110 produces a lot of duplicate channels - can you get rid of the duplication without having to manually delete channels one at a time?

As far as I know you have to delete duplicates maunually. You may want to delete from the dish with the weakest signal.

I hope you don't mind my jumping in here..what is the difference between auto and blind scan and the differences between them?

to both dm1a and kermode assuming that is the same as in coolsat . auto scan will bring channels missing in your list from the satellites you are pointing to let's say 119 and 110. by auto scanning it wont duplicate your channels. while with blindscan is like a new scan but will double your channels. meaning even if you already have it it will show twice and making it doubles. no need now days to do blind scan is best to do auto scan.btw Dm1a this was your problem i bet you must had done a blind scan with channels aready loaded peace. X

:mellow: well i got my cw600s and did blind search, dat loaded a big list of channels, but i cant view none of them, all of them shows $ icon next to them sayin scramblled channel, how do i wathc channels? any ideas at all?

Yea, press F1 then 000 to enable patch. Go check if autoroll is on and you should be good to go. Also, use the latest software I beleive it's 1.56 channel master fix. Good Luck,

Also make sure the EMU key is on it allows the emulation to take place to decrypt the encryption.
And reset the default key, it is above the EMU on my pansat clone.

In order to not have duplicates....do this:

Delete your current channels: menu, system, factory default, channel list.

Then, menu, installation, antenna setup, yellow button - multi satellite setup. Scroll through the list, and check off (OK) 110 and 119, then click blue for start search. This will go through both sats at one time and only grab each channel once.
