I am having a hard time figuring out what i need to do .I get the dream up program to ''say box is alive and speaking to us" I am using windows xp with a null modem cable. and when i try flash the program i am trying to use evocad_XXXXXX it wont open DO I need some other software to flash the dreambox I also tried nagr_2 xxxxxxxxx please help me I also have a coolsat 5k and have no problem with that

try the nitro-christmas flash.

you may have to turn the firewall off to get the dreambox to flash when using windows xp. or try a different computor. Make sure you flash erase the dreambox 2 or 3 times before you flash.

wall... you can only flash a *.img file with Dreamup, not a evocad_XXXXXX
they are addon tarballs. Also, unclick the box for networks. Good luck

u can use a clone of an image also with flashwizard 6.2. the files will be .fw files. on some private sites, the newst dsm with evo2.02 is working freat. if you use nitro xmas, also a great file and put evocamd 2.00 or 2.02 on it, this is also a very good working image. I have used both and have no issues at all.

Wall make sure on Dream-up you erase the current flash in the box before loading another and if your using null uncheck the box above for ip settings. secondly you have to set up expert communication settings and use an ethernet cable to load additional files, or at least that how it is old my older 500 (Phillips tuner) also I found Pi2 w/ evo 1.08 to work great, the only thing Ive had to change in 6 mth's was installing the new auto roll.
