This diagram works for the 2700-n2 clone with a 20 pin header. the pansat ground is pin 2. on the header.

I used the jtag.rar to fix my set.

Issues that may arrise while using the software in the rar file. :

1) wall says it cannot use i/o and you need admin rights in win 2k/xp.
Fix: in xp right click on wall and go to properties. Set wall to run in win 98 compatibility mode. Then restart wall.

2) Jkeys or the unlock program says it is unknown device with ffffffff error or something. If you are sure you wired your jtag connector correctly you have a bad connection on the header or the parrallel port. Double check and make sure you have a good connection. I was getting the error and resolved it by pressing down on the header pins with the connector I made. Problem resolved.

THis should work as it worked with mine and I'm a newbie at this. I learned about jtagging two days after I got my 2700-n2 and didn't know anything about this.

Good luck.

I just ordered a Jtag off Ebay cause I cannot load any bin files. I Got this FLASH UPDATE FAILED error when i try.

I downloaded outlawcrook's RAR file package, so I will let you guys know if I TOO will be a lucky one who can REVIVE his poor 2700a. :)

Thanks in advance outlawcrook!

Has anyone ever successfully jtagged a skytech 2700A pansat clone ?

I bought the jtag cable from ebay and the small cable fits perfectly into the reciever on 1 end and the parralletl cable fits perfectly on the other end.

The software i downloaded keeps giving me an error message saying UNKNOWN DEVICE.

I USED THE SOFTWARE RECOMMENDED FOR PANSAT 2700A CLONES

WHICH HAD THE JKEYS, WALL and all the works. I CHANGED COMPATIBILITY MODE TO WINDOWS 98 to get the software to work.

THE WALL and JKEYS SOFTWARE RECOGNIZED MY PARALLEL PORT ON MY COMPUTER, but did not recognize my SKYTECH 2700A RECIEVER.

error message was UNKNOWN DEVICE.

I USED THE JTAG CABLE I ORDERED FROM EBAY. 1 END WAS 10 pin that fits into the socket on the circuit board of the inside of the SKYTECH 2700A reciever and the other end is a PARALLEL PORT CONNECTION TO PC.

MY ONLY QUESTION IS: HAS ANYEONE EVER SUCCESSFULLY JTAGGED a SKYTECH 2700A ?

Cut and shorten the jtag cable no more than 2 inches. It should work. I had the same problem and that was the solution. Good luck

Cut the JTAG cable by 2 inches?

Or shorten the entire cable to only 2 inches ?

neomatrix_75 has no idea what he is talking about.

He is referring to the cable that is between Jtag pads and DB25 connector.

2 inches is not even workable.

8 to 10 inches is fine for length if you are using simple jtag.

Then 6 foot DB25 cable to your computer parallel port.

If you are using buffered Jtag they can be 3 feet long with no problems.

Then 6 foot DB25 Cable to computer printer port (Parallel Port)
