As most of you know the one thing that the 3500s has over all the other fta recievers is the use of the sd card to update the box. No need to hook the box up to your computer. The problem i have found though is with the channel lists. Channel master, while an excellent program and the one i use will not save a project as a .bin (binary document) it only gives the options to save the file as .cmproj , .gtd , .bcf/.bin or a .ndf format, the .bcf stands for binary channel files which is not an acutal .bin format and the 3500 will not recconize it so you can't load it as .bcf. You will have to convert the file to a .bin before you can load it on the to the 3500. I use a program that will convert the file to what ever extension that you want. I am going to upload "Extension changer" to the Miscellaneous file archive . Download and install "Extension changer" then when you save a channel list to your sd card in the CH DATA BACKUP section save the list as a .bcf . Once saved, just right click the saved list and you will have a new option called "Edit The Extension" click that option and a little box will pop up and type in .bin in the box and click change and PRESTO!! you now have a channel list thats ready to load to a 3500s via the sd card:) :)

i hope that this helps:)

In channel Master under save file as, select Bin Channel Files (*.bcf;*.bin) as the type, then add ".bin" (without the quotes) to the end of your file name and save. The saved file should be saved as a bin file with .bin extension.
