I am brand new to dish, I want to find out what are the advantages to using "the guardian" as opposed to an avr6 w/autoroll. I understand that the guardian does not have a chip to program and that it uses private code which is supposedly less susceptible to ECM?

i'm sure the avr6 is good but i would take the gauardian any day because when they go down they have a fix with in a few hours. the gauardian is the way to go!
