Please help! I am having problems setting up my two coolsat 5000. I have 2 dish 500, 1 pointing at 119/110 with dishpro lnb 2 outputs to 2 receivers (sw21 built in). The other dish pointing to sat 148 with 2 cable outputs to 2 receivers. I was able to received sat. 148 fine, but I have problems with 119/110. 119/110 gives me different problems, sometimes the channels is scramble and sometimes I have to turn the coolsat 5000 receiver on and off in order for them to work.

When I go into the 110 sat. dish settings, in the upper right corner it sometimes shows 110W but most of the time it shows 148. and the same for 119. Below are my settings:

It sounds like to me that your tring to mix dish pro (DP) with legacy.. SW XX is legacy stuff,FYI... Are you ?;)

from what you posted i see your problem is that you need a switch to handle the 3rd sat (148)

your first dish( lnb dish pro twin has 2 ports) in order to recieve 3rd sat you need to run (2) cables from lnb to diseqc 1 to 119 and 1 to 110~~~>to switch , your second dish(you failed to mention what lnb type) you would run one cable to port 3 on switch then 1 cable from out port on switch to coolsat and this would enable you to view/scan all 3 sats

now because you have a second coolsat and want the same ( your first dish, lnb with two ports(dp twin)will not work correctly)

what you want to do is either get yourself a dp twin/quad (4 ports) run four cables (2) for 110 and (2) for 119 to two seperate switches and then 148 (2) cables to two seperate switches

your settings should be set to ocs-dp:yes:

I don't know what kind of lnbs i have, i have read alot on this but still confussed.

I have 2 dish 500, 2 4x1 diseqc switch, 2 coolsat 5000

I am trying to hook up 3 sats to 2 receivers.

The connections are:

1st dish for sats. 119 & 110. 2 lnb outputs with 2 cables to 2 different 4x1 diseqc switch. 1st cable connecting from lnb 1 on dish to diseqc switch 1 comit 1 for sat 119 & 110.. i understand that 1 cable will get me two sats because the lnb has a built in sw21 that will get me 2 sats.
2nd cable is connecting from lnb2 to diseqc switch 2 comit 1 also. This will get me sats 119 & 110, right?

2nd dish for sat 148. it has 1 lnb 2 outputs. both outputs are for sat 148. 1 cable connecting from lnb output 1 to diseqc switch 1 comit 3. another cable connecting lnb output 2 to diseqc switch 2 comit 3.

both coolsat are setup:

if it is like the second you need to run cables off both ports to your switch , 1 cable to 110 the second to 119 , THEN one cable off the second (dish/lnb) to the switch //total of three cables to your switch .

No there is no black DP on the face of the lnb.

First dish one solid piece with 2 lnbs with 2 ports (each port will get 119 and 110). Second dish is built for 2 lnbs but only 1 lnb (2 ports both ports for 1 sat 148) is install, the second lnb wasn't installed.

1st coolsat - only running 2 cables to my switch. 1 cable from dish 1 (port 1 for sat 119 and 110) to my switch commit 1. the second cable from dish 2 port 1 to switch commit 3.

2nd coolsat- only running 2 cables also.
