I just got done spending 8 hours with a 5000. I thought the Pansat 3500s was bad regarding 'glitches' with the menu, SS meter, dish positioner etc, but this appears just as bad. This is what I saw and it happened on a regular basis. Can anyone else confirm any of this?

1. The SS meter either shoes no signal or a high signal (over 60 quality).. You are either 'there' or have no idea where you are making it VERY hard to tune birds that you aren't sure where they are. I read a review that seemed to confirm this.
2. When you are in the menu, every time you change 'birds', the 'moving to' dialog box comes up even though you don't want it to move or didn't issue a command to move. Pansat has a similar same problem. How can you change satellites without the receiver issuing a command to move the dish? This makes it almost impossible to 'locate' the next 'bird' from the last reference spot you were at.
3. Reference the above, when you do change to another 'bird', the 'moving to' (whever it is called) dialog box pops up even though the dish isn't moving. It will appear three times and close, but the dish never moved. This happened all the time. When it DOES move, the box will appear once, maybe twice and close when the dish does move to the correct location. IOW's working properly.
4. Can the password be cleared (deleted) so no password is needed?
5. Using a Pansat PM900 motor (sold through Ariza) that doesn't have USALS, the "go to reference" function does not work. Is this normal? I couldn't return to the '0' point except by using that **** 'manual' button on the motor itself (another issue).

Many of the issues seem to be that motor that I had no experiance with. I got spoiled with the Stab, I guess.

Any input here?
