If I buy a Coolsat 4000 package with a Dish Network dish and a dual LNB will I need anything else to watch FTA programs or hack Dish Network?
Also, if you setup your receiver to hack Dish Network is there a turnover on how long you can run it for? Can Dish "zap" your box, and if so can it be reporgrammed?
thanks a bunch!!

all you need not mentioned is enough rg6 coax and connectors and a diseqc switch along with files avail for download at this site for your coolsat.(coolsat pro loader, latest norwest bin, and how too manuals) NOTE** hacking is a filthy:fear: word, why not say test:yes: instead.as far as getting zapped everything could end at any second or last up untill decodeing is changed (updated) by provider.
good luck
and
happy testing

"Testing" is a much better word imo.
What kind of turnaround is there for updating software when it's been zapped?

all i can say is norwest is on top of there game , dont think they(coolsats) have been down in 6-7 weeks for more than 4-5 hrs when we were waiting for new bin, as of late norwest has been updateing bins and no problems.
but be advised this could last a long time ( years) or be over b/4 im done typing this reply
so the longer you wait the less time you will have it

Coolsat loading is relatively easy. Lots of updates with great bins. Best thing to do is read, read and read some more. There is a lot of great information out there to learn. It's up to us to educate ourselves first and ask questions when you're stumped. This is a great place to learn - you won't be disappointed :)
