hi i just got my coolsat receiver and just got all the files to the help and flashing and stuff...ive downloaded the COOLSAT5000_NORW_111_20051228.stb and just wanted to know what exactly this file does? also im switching over from a pansat and my pansat had all the channels sorted with the echo star package and i wanted to know how to do the same witht this...thanks

yes the 111 is the updated 110 , i see in your previous post you d/l the bin for the 5000 coolsat , that is the bin for the 5000 not the 4000 ( just so your aware)
also go to this link http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=247304&postcount=1 and open the file. a great read that i suggest you also read to save your self some headaches and get up to speed !!:)

tested both bins for my 4000 and 5000, they both work great! 4000 is a really nice update, alot faster no more lag. EPG is more fast. have fun thanks!

ok i got the receiver hooked up and stuff and flashed the bin...i was doing the satelite scan and it picks up echo 110w in the top right corner and i thought that was echo 7 but on the menu it goes echo 6,8 for 110W and when i do the scan i get all the channels but when i go to view them i get no picture but it still says 90% with the freen bar...any ideas?

i am using 61.5 and 110 with 2 single lnb dishes... does it matter which disex # they are commited to? all of them are set to 11250 with the 61.5 not getting any quality on any disecq #....all the dishes are setup correctly because they worked with my old pansat

set up your lnb as "single" for each sat
and diseqc # im guessing is your problem with no picture
as a rule of thumb 119 to 1 // 110 to 2 // 61.5 to 3

yeah im guessing it is the switch....theres a snow storm here in toronto so i will have to do it ltr..right now its set to #1 is 110 and #3 is 61.5 so ill change it to #2 110 and #3 61.5 and put a cap on the other 2

ok i did the switch and turns out i had the same problem....i was getting perfect reading for 110W but for 61.5 it kepy saying signal 90% but quality was like 12-24% and it was staying red so i decided to do the auto scan anyway and when it was doing the auto scan it started to show 97% and the channels work :blink: so wierd but i guesss if u have set it up properly and the receiver still says its not catching anything...dont beleive it! do the scan anyway
