After a couple weeks of reading, I decided to jump in and got the Coolsat 4000 Pro. I have a Dish 500 Dual Legacy setup with the external sw21 switches (not the fatboy). Using bin 110, I decided to run right through the sw21 switch instead of using a diseqc switch. Fired everything up, set the satellite settings:

Echostar 119
Lnb Power - on
Dual Leacy Lnb 1
22Mhz - Off
Diseqc - Off
sw21 -1

Echostar 110
Lnb Power - on
Dual Leacy Lnb 2
22Mhz - Off
Diseqc - Off
sw21 -2

All autorolls on
Auto T/P update on

Autoscan w/ networks

And BAM - everthing up and running . . . seems to be firing on all cylinders about 24 hours in.

I found the CMGC and Snowtigers Coolsat Testing Manuals to be very helpful and of course the ever present Skunker whose enthusiam swayed me to Coolsat and whose posts got me over the hump.

And how 'bout that NORW crew writing those bins ??? WOW !!!

Just with the pansats 2700 would work with the SW21 setup. I have a crap load of dual legacy dishes and since the sw21 is built in they are sitting. (2700's are cheaper)

you guys got any advice for dish pro twin lnbs? i cant seem to get 119 locked down, only 110 tunes in. im running it straight to the receiver. any common problems with these out there? its on a cool 5000.

o you have 119 as a default satellite ? meaning did you load the bin and does it show the 30 satellites ?? ( do you have a choice for 119 ?)
i had a simmiliar prob with 119 at a friends house , but it was with a legacy twin
and a sw21 , messed with dish for an hour then i decided to switch the sw21 with a diseqc and low and behold BAM !!! 119 at 99 %:)

well now i got a nice siganl, but having the same problem with my 4000 with didos list, guess its just not going to work, 119 channels wont tune in. 110 does. so i just using 110 list and did auto scan on 119. but when i compare the newly scanned 119 to didos 119 in channel master, they seem to look different.

thats because dildo probably lives 1,000 miles away from you , and that was his scan:yes:

well I did a auto scan with network on with the custom list, now they all seem to be working fine, it didnt pick up no duplicates this time, it picked up didos renamed channels and now they worked? It also picked up a bunch of other new ones. seems like theres some missing channels, there are gaps in between the channels, suppose to be like this correct? So was I suppose to do this from the start? After the list do auto scan with network on? thanks again!
