Read tsop file says CBPA; Found the sticker in the DN 2800 receiver - says CBPD / Flash Edit - opened & loaded flash - eeprom for the CBPA for tsop; I loaded flash / eeprom for a CBPA file and still can't get it to work after loading jeepers hex / eeprom file with my 18.0mhz atmega. Is it not true that the first three letters must match of Build Config file?. Checked box keys / IRD # / bootstrap / software ver.; all seems correct; Any suggestions?

I think the problem may be your ATmega. I don't think that eeprom/hex fix works anymore. Try the files area for a new pfg.

As lone as the first 2 letters are the same, so your Tsop build config is fine, all the hasve to do is modify the Ne atmega tsop to match you tsop build CBPD or CBPA.

When you program Atmega, make sure you update with new key, or use this one

tried several other atmegas with pfg, updated keys; double checked ird#/box keys / tried several CBxx CBPA CBOA files; only get black screen with header some channels blocked others open / no picture just the header title info. Going nuts trying to resolve this I have tried everything I know. Read otehr forums and files downloaded new config files saved / modded / re-build savednothing works. Think I will go back to rabbit ears - just not worth the time and trouble.

I have checked for updated keys, new atmega pfgs, correct box keys, correct ird#, correct bootstrap / correct software version / tried the junk yard fix / waiting for the new software upload after programming / I have even brought this ird back from the dead three times now and re-built the tsop with new files.

I jtag the (read setting) receiver; load my flash / eeprom file; open up flash edit / edit in the advance setting mode the build config with the new downloaded config file - save as / go back to jtag hit flash (write setting) unplug / plug w/i 3 sec / jtag load this flash / eeprom file to receiver; I have programmed various atmega pfgs - none work. wait for update with power plugged in 4 minutes/ hook up rca feed / video / hit check switch test/ still I am locked out - nothing works.

The CBPA file can be changed by using FlashEdit ver 2.
Never mind what the people say about two matching or three matching or the last letter is always A. Use the complete Build Config number for your IRD pcboard.

These files will help you set everything up properly.

I know this can be frustrating for people of all levels at times but with some patience and persistance you will get it working.

The first thing you always do before you start erasing things is to save the original images from your ird and keep them in a safe place.

I used sativa's no mod pfg and its been working great but before I got it too work I was having trouble just like you.

I have a 4700 ird software modded to a 4900. I use an atmega with this box and like you I tried all kinds of modded tsops listed in the forums. The best I could do was to get an 019 nag or an 020 nag when I tried to test these. I then decided to go get a beer and restart from scratch with something I haven't tried. I reloaded my original tsop and eeprom to my box and went with the no modded tsop to try that.

Upon opening my image in flashedit I noticed that the build config in my original tsop displayed in flashedit did NOT match the build config sticker on the pcb inside the ird and I suspect this might have been my problem all along as I used the sticker build config when I tried to test the modded tsop files. Anyway I used flashedit to change ird number and box keys , loaded up the pfg and low and behold I was viewing in less than 1 minute. After a check switch I had everything back and all has been running fine. You get the usual little freeze every now and then but it only last a few seconds then all is fine.

I have another 4900 ird that i uised a magic card on that I am going to get running also but I am going to use a rom card for that after I ask some questions about those myself:lol:

Just keep trying and you will be rewarded and when you finally do get it working the "wtf , that was easy" hammer will hit you on the head.
