This works great. I have a ton of locals finally. It does seem to take longer for the channels to come it, but I'm fine with that. One thing that I did noticed that I used central time and I was still an hour ahead. I fixed it so no big deal. Thanks again for all your hard work:)

Well tested on 101 and 102 adding locals ect and ppv strings and all working good here.For those that would like to play with ppv's you can enter high and lows and mwtdmt tier gen will convert to hex I used something like 61000 and 90000 I think it was.Still wide range but working for now.

I have very much enjoyed reading this entire thread. Kudos to mwtdmt for the software. The question I have involves a PVR where the harddisk is also married to the ird# and boxkeys. I have a good read of my rom 102 bin from the original card that cane with my PVR. With this scripting tool, does anyone think it is possible to clean the tiers on my original bin, apply the tiers that I would like to have with the TierWorks software, and while using my original boxkeys and IRD and cam# write this back to the card and have success of both audio and video. I would also believe it would be necessary to also write a blocker such as the V17 back to the card for protection.

I'm sure I have missed something here but what? I know I would also need to update the PK to the current keys....anything else?

:wow: Seem to work well , except my time zone is not right. I set the time zone for Pacific and enter my zipcode, but I keep getting eastern zone time. I have try serveral times with the same result. Anybody have any ideas? Its a rom 101 rev 007, I get every channel I enter in the DT works except the correct time zone. Does any know where to find the time zone and zipcode address code on a Rom 101 so I can change myself in N2 edit beta7?:hat: :beer: :lol:

for some reason the tier wipe seems to leave a few tiers. the tiers left are before the decrypt keys, would that have something to do with it?

i have checked around, and 1 of those tiers on mine that remained was a international channel tier. i noticed it was a 25 tier, but i think that is a standard tier, but i could be wrong. also, if i do a normal tier wipe on the latest version, it DOES also remove the PPv tiers. is this what you intended, since you also mentioned you had a PPV tier wipe in there?

im still wondering about those "extra" tiers that aren't getting wiped... i am looking at them and they appear to be normal tiers, but i can not figure out how/why they are "25" tiers. i have manually removed them and adjusted free-space on the card, and it works fine. i dont know a whole lot about the tier structure, so i can only guess why the are the way they are. but, no matter, it appears safe to remove these tiers, and you could add them into the wipe function if desired.

now, another thing i have noticed. i opened up a 101 image, and performed a standard tier wipe. then compared that file to the image before the wipe. the PPV was indeed removed, although i didnt perform a ppv tier wipe, just a standard tier wipe. also, on the image i was using, there was a decrypt key somewhere in between several tiers on the original image. however, that set of decrypt keys is not present on the image i performed the standard tier wipe on. not sure if that has an effect on the cam or not, just wasnt sure if you have noticed that or not.

Noticed that for the portuguese tiers, it shows that RTPI / STP
but STP chan 650 61.5 bird is missing, that tier does not get added.

I've got a virgin Rom 102 with an unmodded tsop in a 301 reciever that I would like to try out with this program. Do I need to mod the tsop on the 301 to use this program like I have on my other 301 that I am using a 3m with or does the reciever go untouched and the card just needs to be programmed. Sorry I hope this is not to rudimentary of a question.

I agree. Well the bin rolled. Without the use on ANY extra code. when std tiers wiped it kept the blackouts and local remap from subb. Couple of bugs. Hmmm remapped without adding from tiergen. And blacked out certain stations. Maybe a blackout string is in order. Only porn that worked was the playboy and playboy esp. the others want to be ordered. Maybe I will try a ppv string for those too. But the special event sports work great

when i use the gopher original file, eprom address start from 3000 and go thru A and B address. using your patch generator i note that now all address begin with C and D.

this is for an open ROM102 card.

kind of hesitant to write to the card because of the difference.

am i doing something wrong?

Only problem I seem to be having is the porn not working unles I include it in a ppv string. hmmm weird. And since it organozes everything I dont knwo where to ff for blackout problems. timezone did not work.

just used version 9.4 and it seems to have fixed the problem. seems that the address now match the ROM102 card format. will write to it tomorrow.

just figured it out. when i renamed the file i neglected to include the .BN102 in the extension. guess that without it the program assumed it was a rom 10 conversion.

hope that this helps others from making the same mistake.

My city is working fine. I have not been using the remapp. That might be the problem. My cam remapped it all by itself. I guess from the zip that was stored on cam. It is that my paticular geographical location has anything that is any fun is ALWAYS blacked out. LOL. So are you telling me that the blackout string is tied to the remapp??? I will try again tonite. I might have to remapp a differnt city to bin the copy and remapp all over again to get rid of the orignal blackout. For Some reason it is hanging on for dear life.

Thanks bud one reason you can't map locals and not get blackouts in some states for those that don't know.

Each Cable & DBS system sets their own restrictions based on local community standards. TENMax & TENBlue, not carried by any providers, are the others showing the uncensored four categories of
rear p., front p., extreme close-ups & ej.

Six states need another byte or bytes for blackouts of explicit content. (Can't recall what byte it was.)

Community Standard states -
North Carolina Tennessee Alabama Mississippi Oklahoma Utah

FYI for all, If you 7F your blackout bytes you will need a blocker to keep them, the stream adjusts your blackoutbytes by your zip code... :) nice program

crap I missed allot last nite. I went to bed early. So i will try today and tonite and let ya know. It is not only explicit content that I want but sports blackouts too.

Finally got to try this with 10.0. Thanks for all your time and effort. A couple of things I noticed was when using it all the tiers were wiped flawlessly. The tier expiration dates are Jan. 03, 2006. I changed them manually but it seems like all the 102 3m's Ive seen expire on this date. Been adding tiers and changing them the hard way until now. So all I had to do is change the dates. In 10.0 it overwrote my blackout from 7F7F7F7F7F7F7F7F7F7F7F3F to 2A4A000038152F032900013F. Ill try the newer version in a few. Also when I tried the PPV option it didnt wipe the tiers from my bin. It simply added them so I ended up with 6 PPV values. The expiration date for your PPV tier is Dec. 31, 2029. I just manually deleted the old 3 and changed the dates on the new ones created from 10.0. Again thanks for your time and effort. Not complaining just trying to give a heads up as alot of people will loose channels come the 4th. Ill try the new version and the blackout/ remapp.

Version 10.2 was successful changing my blackout to all 7F's and my remap byte to the appropriate one. Tried it on 2 different bins with different tiers and ppv on both. Thank you sir.

Yep the tiers expire on 1-3-2006. You can do a search in a hex editor for the 13FC =1-3-2006. Or you can load the bin to card and use Cyberdss Nagra2 tools and dump the info to look at. These tiers will expire on 1-3-2006 at least for 10.2 just saw the new version it seems to have a patch feature so will be easier to edit until the dates are fixed. The PPv tier expires in 2029 so if you wanna go that wide then your good to go. Ill check the newer version out!

The nagra2 tool by cyberdss has a nice little convert utility for dates and times to customize it to your liking.

If your still getting blackouts then change your zip to 00000 and use the
7F youll have to set the timezone byte but it should eliminate the blackouts.

11.5 is the first revision that I am having trouble with. It is crashing ne2edit. I figured out why I think. After I clean the tiers the file size is 17.7k instead of 18k.

I am also having other problems. Only a few of the tiers are showing up when I programs with 11.5. Too tired to mess with it anymore tonight so dont have any more info, Going back to v11 for now, 6am in the moring. I must be nutts.

Here are some tools to convert dates. Totally different From N1. The cyberdbs is my choice as it will dump all info from card and shows blackout,zip,tiers,cam-id,ppv, ETCMakes it easy to read info then search in a hex editor to modify the bin.

Ok here is what happens to me. When I patch bin it looks fine in N2edit all tiers are there. But when I write them to card. then read it again it says provider unknown, only has five tiers written to card. File size is correct. and all channels in red.

Added a button to grab keys click on button and Keys will write them
once you patch your bin file also added Atlantic timezone for some
reason I didn't add it...

also you must have the msinet.ocx file if you don't have it you will get an error...

hey thanks for a great program, v12, and thanks for the save feature! OK now my problem, I could mess with 102 bins fine, but when I use 101 bins it crashes n2edit_beta7 on me....now I know there's a problem going from 102 to 101 bins in n2edit so I always close the program before reading my 101 bin..anyway am I alone on this one?

i can not get the ppv string to add correctly. it does not set the tiers anywhere near what i put in them low/high tier range...

did someone say v12? tha last version I have seen is 11.5.
