HOW TO DOWNLOAD A NEW SOFTWARE TO YOUR ORASAT RECEIVER


BEFORE DOWNLOAD – WHAT YOU NEED
1) RS-232C Serial Cable (Twisted Type)
2) DownLoader Program (http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=42235)
3) Software (Binary file) : main.bin (http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=119)


DOWNLOAD PROCESS

1) Copy ‘”main.bin”file to any root directory of your PC
2) Download the new firmware to your RECEIVER
a) Connect your PC (Com1 or Com2) with your ORASAT RECEIVER by using RS-232C Serial-Cable (Cross)
b) AC Power OFF (AC Power is at Rear Part)
c) Double-lick to open “Downloader” program on the PC.
d) Select Com1 (or Com2) and Open” main.bin”file
e) Click “Start”
f) AC Power ON. at Rear Part of ORASAT RECEIVER
g) Wait until termination message appear on “Downloader” program on the PC. ( or “SUCC” display at your RECEIVER’s Front LED)
h) After notification of “Termination message”, AC Power Off.
i) Now, main.bin sw download process terminated.


CAUTION

In case you see “Connection fail with STB”. It means you did not Turn off the STB at first. Turn off STB First, and Turn On after executing the Downloader program.

Smart Card slot for Orasat is obviously for current smart cards and futuer smart cards.

Currently, you can purchase X Crypt or Irdecto Free XTV Card for adult channel which does not provide by DN or BEV.
I hope it will solve your question.

can some one tell help me i lost all my channels on DN b/c i press factory setting setting then ienter 0000 for password and i lost all channels after that i press blind scan and all my channels are lost can some one help me with this problem

I did something wrong.. I have the 5.0 and Well I ended putting 3.0 bin on it and the receiver took it. After I found I put the wrong one on the reciever I tried to put the 5.0 on it and it will not take it now. What do I need to do from here..Thanks for your guys help..

go into the menu and do a factory reset,
then reboot the reciever and shut off from the back
switch,while it is off load up the new file and start
the loader,then turn on the back switch and let it
run until it says flash succefully finnished.
after that reboot the reciever and setup your lnb,s
and scan your sats.

nothing garunteed,,support has been slow
for orasat,,keep your fingers crossed
that someone is still working on it.

Where is Patrick, damm he use to help a lot on these Orasat, but he has'nt been up here in quite some time, so we keep putting them in manualy

Just getting back into this and can't remember how to load keys on Orasat nor can I find anything that is current to do that. Like which lines to use for 00 and 01 keys.
