I use a hands free method similar to these...I do it so I can still drink my  and not have to worry about the hand holding the jtag slippping
Project2501 11-14-2005, 05:06 PM I always just soldered mine on. Had one of those pogo pin types for a while and it works good too, but no where near as well as soldering. When soldering you for sure get a good connection.
CoolDmitriy 11-17-2005, 09:52 AM I put a case of Boston lager on my JTAG. Works great. Never moves, unless I finish all the beer before JTAG complets read/write operations.

Castaway68 11-19-2005, 09:01 AM can get it to work sometimes,,reads about half of the flash on a 4900,,then craps out,,then has DCU peek,,unplug ird,,plug back up,,and it wont detect anymore,,got it to work long enough last night to do a 2800 for the rom 10 deal,,but now,,nadda,,i dont understand at all.
Castaway68 11-19-2005, 09:01 AM ohh,,sorry for hijacking your thread EL.
el_vaquero 11-19-2005, 09:11 AM no problem bud is all jtag related

WeedMan 11-20-2005, 07:58 AM Here's how i do it on 301's,,Solding is the best way less hassle,,but the obove methods would work great. I use a pogo pin jtag for the 2700's they work great they clip right in don't have to hold it. Then on 301's or 501's i solder the pogo pin jtag on ,,it works great! But only thing is customers cring when they see me do this to there ird:lol:

Is this the picture of 301.013 jtag, I see only 5 pogo pins, what about the ground connection of the pad that goesto pin 18-25 of db25.
el_vaquero 12-17-2005, 09:16 PM is on the left lower corner
i did mine so i can have the ground in the top row (all are ground)
protech-equip 12-17-2005, 11:25 PM This is a post from Protech-equip. I was an avid member of this forum until I decided to damage the community and these very forums in several ways. One of these was by spreading unfounded rumours and lies about the admin here. Another was be editting hundreds of posts I made here with some useless text. The ironic thing is that I actually made a lot of money selling various pirate devices through this very website.
I could have easily chosen to email the admin and ask him to zero out the IP's or even delete my account but decided I would damage the forums and talk shit about the people here instead.
I should be ashamed of this but am likely not.
indal_98 12-19-2005, 08:37 AM Top side JTAG is best ....
Get a computer game port cable....cut one end off and connect them to your simple or buffer'ed JTAG ...the other ends has a 16-pin connector.
Solder header pins on top-side JTAG ..
