Nagravision

scroll down

Check it carefully.
scroll up

3- Press OK. If you see a red dot in the botton/left of your screen, go to step 5
4- Enter number 1004. A red dot will come out at ur bottom left. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS STEP w/ lastest bins.
5- Press red button (audio).
6- Press right arrow until NAGRA appears in the first line.
7- Down arrow up to Provider and right arrow up to 0001.
8-Now scroll down to first key line and press OK. scroll to the letters and number and enter Key 00. Get keys from Maestra or another site or using a key grabber program
9-Scroll down to second key line, press ok. and enter key 01
10- Scroll To Save Key and
11- Press OK.
12- Exit and Enjoy

I know for sure that pansat key change will not work, because that is an old procedures, Pansat had update the bin file, and have the New N2 key edit box, and new procedures.

I have successfully entered the new keys in Pansat 2700E, and its working fine. In pansat after entering in Nagravision u can change to N2 by pressing right arrow keys when the cursor is at keycode.

Now I am trying to enter keys in Fortec L. T.Ultra( for a friend), I changed the keys as instructed on this site, but I am getting only 2 channels, channel332(info), and 333 (free8). I think it is a problem of bin file not the keys.
But I observed some thing, after entering code when u are in nagravision , at the top you will see nagravision, now there is no option to change to N2, whereas in Pansat2700, after u go down to key code , and if u press right arrow, it will chnage from N1 to N2 at the top.

Help needed Urgently.

I know the new key could be entered directly into the bin file providing we know the memory location, which could be done by searching for the key in a hex editor.
Once the key is replace with a new one. Does the bin file's CRC must be re-calculated and enter as the last 2 bytes of the bin file?

What algorithm the CRC is calculated from? CCITT-16? I could write a routine to calcuate the CRC, but need to know which one was used.

I think I posted the question little too soon. Here is the answer for those who interested. This is for the Fortec Lifetime binary file only.
There is a proggie called Fortec_Checker. It will check the file for correct checksum(CRC) and fix it if necessary.
To change the key, open the bin file with a hex editor, type in the new key. The location is 0x1C60 to 0x1C6F with offset of 0x00 (total 16 bytes)
Save the file. Run Fortec_Checker, fix the CRC. That's it. Ready.
With the help of Fortec_Checker, the job is much easy. I don't have to calculate the CRC. However, I still don't know what algorithm it employed.
Little more detail, the CRC is at location 0x08FFD0 to 0x08FFD3 with offset 0x00 (total 4 bytes), not the last 2 bytes of the file as I guessed.
Anyway, thanks to the coder and chip (admin) for sharing the proggie.

Could somebody explain the Nagra Code Key menu I have in my VS2000 Plat. I see a lot of lines on the screen and I would like to know what they refer too.
Here are the lines:
00= 35 A5 ....etc......
01= 1C 41 ....etc......
08= C3 AE ....etc......
09= 5F 24 ....etc......
88= B4 ED ....etc......
89= E1 B0 ....etc......

I know that some keys are the primary keys and the others are secondary keys.
Can somebody explain what these are.

I'm just curious and I just don't want to miss the next key change and be in the dark for a couple of hours.

Is there an updated guide for a pansat 3500s because when I try to change key 00 all i see is all FFFFFFFFFs and I am not too sure where to enter the keys manually. Lou

Providing you have the latest bin:
Key Change for 3500s:
Scroll down to Parental Control and press okay.
Scroll down to Second Pin and enter “0000”
This takes you into the CAS system menu
Scroll down to Set default key and press OK
Scroll up to Nagravision 2
Enter the correct keys press -OK- to store

I was wondering why there is a proceedure for changing keys manually on Fortec L.T. Ultra, as last I tried my best and there is no option of chnaging to N2, so if ur putting keys ur puting for N1. the only way I think is loading the new bin that can changthe keys automatically, which I did.

Don't forget to "Set Default Key" afterwards.

Ok, Quick and dirty for CoolSat 4000 Pro running coolsat4000_norw_104_20051125.zip (and perhaps other versions), getting "up" with the new keys is pretty straightforward:

1) Press 8282 like you were changing channels.
2) Move to the second NagraVision Box @ the top of the menu
3) scroll down to the last two keys (ID 20 & 21)
4) Enter the new keys using the numbers for numbers and the "info button" for Letters
5) Double check your entries
6) Press "exit" and watch TV

Is there someone to help to change the key in a pansat 3500s , or let me know what I am doing wrong,, when I bring up the nagra.2 there are 2 sets of line for the key,,00 and for Key 01,, what goes into the second line ? there are 16 digets for a line ,, what do I put in there??

The Viewsat instructions are GREAT! I walked a friend through the manual key change instructions, (over the phone), and he has his spanker channels back again....Thanks to all who write these instructions for us dummies!

1. menu button
2. parental control button and enter password
3. Nagravision 2 button
4. Make sure the column to the top right states Dish Network. If not...Scroll over and click to the right unitl you get it.
5. Scroll down to the key section and enter Key 00 into first line and key 01 into second line.
6. Click ok button (middle of remote) and the store icon (bottom right) should blink a couple times.
7. exit all the way out and enjoy TV
