Need some help. I have a Coolsat Pro 4000 with one old DTV single LNB dish at 110 and the another DTV single LNB at 119. I am missing some channels like HBO, CNN, SHO, FTV, and others. The transponders that those channels come in on do not have a green signal. Missing transponders like 12.228 H and 12.355 H. Do I have the wrong type LNB or what can I do to get the transponders with the missing channels ?

did you auto scan or blind scan ? from what i have read your situation is the only one where the blind scan is needed. try doing a blind scan to hit those transponders. also what is your signal level and quality ??

I have tried the blind scan several times. Still the same result. All of the transponders I am missing seem to be on the 119 bird. I am wandering if the LNB is not the right kind or something. I thought all of the old style single LNBs would work. Signal level is 93 and 82 quality.

try powering it off and disonnect the cable , then switch lines in to stb ( just one at a time and see if you get them ? remember to power off before unhooking anything so you don't fry your switch or box !!:)

When you say switch lines - Do you mean on the LNB switch ?

Thanks

Ran line for 119 straight to STB, deleted all channels and did another blind scan. Same result. Since my 110 bird is working fine and picking up all channels, I am wandering if the 119 LNB is wrong type or defective. I have a KUBand Linear LNB off of a Fortec 33". Will that work with an old style DTV 18" dish ? I thought about trying that.

Still need help please. I have a DN DP LNB sat that I subscribe to. I removed one of the inputs from that sat that I know is working and did a Blind scan and I am still missing the same channels on 119. Any suggestions ?

make sure your settings on the channel list match what you have on your box,the settings on the channel list are the same setting the person who made the list use and may not be the same as your settings (that you need)
also make sure you choose dishpro list to match your dishpro lnb

good luck and happy testing

please reply with your findings

thanks

When you say settings. What do you mean ? I always make sure the LNBs are on single power, with the DP pro there is no need for a Diseqc so I put that in. I feel confident that the LNBs and dishes are set up properly with the dish and STB. Are you talking about the channel lists transponders versus what the STB has set for a range of TPs. I have read a lot of forums and none directly match my situation. This is really stumping me. Your help is appreciated.

I have noticed that the channel list I am using has frequencies set for 5150 to 5750. On the STB, I get the best signal at 11250. Should I change the channel list to match the STB ?

the channels most of u were missing, were down, now back up.the old dtv lnbs work just fine for me.do a auto scan of each sat, then up load to your pc,and use channel master to make your channel list like dish has theirs.you upload almost like you put file 134 on your receiver.on your 1.5 STB tool click channels, then upload.

When you say they were down >>>> For how long ? I purchased Coolsat 5 weeks ago and have never been able to receive those channels. I have a friend that has a Pansat 2500 with two old DTV sats for 110 and 119 (just like I am set up) and I verifed with him that the channels were coming in on his receiver and they were. But cannot get them on my Coolsat.
I will try a different LNB. Maybe the LNB is defective.

Any more suggestions would be helpful.

When you set up your dish, make sure you are getting the right satellite signal. You know 110 is working, so you have to verify that 119 dish is aim to the right satellite, otherwise, you can do what ever you want it still not working.

I am receiving some 119 channels. So I am aimed correctly. But still missing some channels (HB0, ESPN, CMT, FOOD, CNN, etc) PPV and all others are coming in.

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Hey Hershey, did you ever figure this out. I have the exact same problem, I get everything but a few (ESPN particularly) which is driving me nuts. If you have this fixed could you post how...or anyone else. CHeers and thanks.

Want I found was that elevation for 119 was off by two ticks. I guess this was enough to prevent reception of some transponders. However, once corrected I still did not receive ESPN and HBO. These channels are down. I have several friends with different STBs and they have all confirmed not receiving them also. Good luck.

All channels (HBO, ESPN, CNN) confirmed coming in with the new SUPERBIN II. Problem now fixed completely.

how old is the channel list that is on your box ? dont know if transponders have changed for your missing channels , kist your channels in order that your missing , check lyngsat vs your channel list , update list if necessary and reload it

Ok, so on the advice of Skunker I checked the TP's on Lyngsat and I realize I'm not picking up certain transponders at all...I'm missing a whole chunck of channels and I have no idea why. I had done a blind scan and I had always gotten everything with that method. So..I figure I will just input them manually into my custom channel list and that will be that. Well I then realize this all started when I moved my dish to a different location on my house and maybe something got wonky, so I check my lines and behold, I have the 110 and 119 lines reversed to what I have them labled as on my coolsat options (doh). I proceeded to delete all my channels, switch the settings for the diseque inputs (so 110 is actually 110 and 119 is actually 119) and redo my blind scan and PRESTO, all is now good in the world. I have all my channels again and everything is coming in nicely.

At this point feel free to point and laugh.;)

I have never posted until now (4 years of just reading) and this is a mighty smooth entrance if I do say so myself.

I would like to say thanks to those who posted and helped (Skunker) the time is much appreciated. Cheers everyone, G.
