Allright, i just got my pansat 2700a today. ive spent an hour searching the forums and ive gotten no where.

heres the deal, ive download the guide for 2500 and using that. i also have gtrom loader and cd editor 187 pansat.

my set up is the same as when i was testing charlie with atmega, the dish is 18" and pointed at 6/8 with one lnb. now i dont know what kind of lnb it is so the problem might be right there.

i have uploaded Pansat 2700A_050826_104_api(N).bin to the recvier. reconnected the cable and when i do a search i get nothing. 0 programs found.

now i do not know what the settings should be

lnb is set to standard
local freg - 11250
22khz - off
diseqc off
skew -45
tp 12223 v 20
positione setting - disable
scan fta + scramble

the scan im doing takes 5 min and goes from 0% - 100% and in the end comes up with nothings

what am i doing wrong?

What dish are you using.Sounds like it is in your diseq setting or lnb's that don't work possibly.

First of, you are using the wrong bin file....try using the new one..118.api
Second of all you don't load anything to the IRD, you flash the newest bin which can be found in the files section here. Also, once you have flash the IRD, then you can do a blind scan on each or whatever sat you are trying to get and that will "find" all the channels on that sat. Furthermore, as far as the LNB, you should not really worry about it, just use the standard option. Since you are only trying to get one sat, don't worry about the skew, it only applies when you are trying to get more than one sat.

Side note: make sure you are using th null modem cable, and not a straight through one, it won't work. Also, when you download the software make sure you make a new file and rename it, itll help you when you are looking for that file.

Hope this help, if not im me and will help you....

Zeon

Here are were the files are for your pansat
http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=39069

And here is a little info you might need to,,let us know how you make out

Here we Go :

1). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.
2). Connect the RS232C null modem cable to the receiver and Com1 port of your computer. (Use Com2 if not Com1 is not available).
3). Plug in the receiver, Turn your 2700 "ON" via the rear switch, and see that the “On” is indicated on the LED on the receiver.
4). Run the Downloader (GTRom Loader v3[1].35 [pansat2700A].exe) from the new created folder.
5. Click the App File only button, browser and select the “latest update” file, example X-87BL_050924_117_api then click the Open button.
6. Double check and make sure the cable is securely connected.
7. Click the Download button, wait until the “Download Completed!!” is displayed. Watch the LED on the receiver, it should reboot itself, wait until the “On” display.
8). Wait for unit to finish flash, DO NOT INTERUPT!
9)When receiver reboots and displays “On” You are done with the software update

Satellite Setup.

Note : I removed the SW21 then I connected my Dish 500 Duel legacy LNB 119 cable to the LNB1 of the DISEqC, then I connected my LNB 110 cable to the LNB2 of the DISEqC switch. The FTAs are not compatible with SW21s.
10). Goto the Installation Option, enter “0000” for p*********word
11). Goto the Antenna setup Option,
12). Select satellite you want (birds Echo8.6/Ku at 110W and Echo7/Ku at 119W are the Dishnet birds), press the OK button. DO NOT select more then one satellite if you only have one satellite.
13). LNB Type: select “Standard”
14). LNB Local-Freq: enter “11250”
15). 22kHz: OFF
16). See above note: DiSeqC: 0, if you have two lnbs on the dish or two dish then change it to the correct lnb #1, #2, so on...
17). Skew: 45
18). TP: leave it as is
19). Check the Level= highest as you can, and Quality= highest as you can (adjust the dish slightly to improve the signal strength)
20). If you get no quality level on these transponders, try others before giving up. Not all transponders are transmitting all the time. MAKE SURE THE CABLE IS PLUGGED INTO THE "IF INPUT" PORT ON THE BACK OF THE RECEIVER! Plug the other end directly into the LNB on your Dish.
21). Readjust your dish if you still not getting any quality signal
22). Press the Exit button, press OK to save setting

Connecting the receiver to the TV.

23). Connect all the RCA cable from the TV to the receiver, connect the R6 Cable from the dish to the IF input of the receiver. Plug in the power cord from the receiver to an AC outlet.
24). You should see the Language Menu on the TV screen, select English.

Easy Channel List Fix Guide

25. Go into SAT Edit and rename your Dish 110 to ECHO 110 and rename Dish 119 to ECHO 119. (the space between ECHO and 110 is important!)

26. do a BLIND scan on each sat, ECHO 110 & ECHO 119. (Takes At least 10 min per sat) NOTE: My 2700 got "hung up" during a blind scan, I stopped, deleted the partially loaded channel list, for that SAT only, re scanned to 100%, all ok.

27. When complete, push SAT button on remote, you will now have a choice you have not previously had "ECHOSTAR PACKAGE"

28. Select ECHOSTAR PACKAGE and select any channel. This will convert EPG Button to ECHOSTAR PACKAGE and your epg will match match D**H Network channels. ( provided you are pointed at 110 and 119)

After doing this, you will see there is no need to load a channel list and epg works fast on most channels, slow to come up on others.

WATCH TV!

You can now go back to your channel list and delete all of the channels that are duplicate, and bad or scramble error. they are "Ghost Channels".

Use this link for you Pansat 2700A set up.

The bin should be 118 for the later, not 117.

you have to aim your dish, with good signal and quality level. 0% quality is not good.

When you getting Signal Level but No Quality:
1. You point to the wrong satellite.
2. Use the wrong multi switch, or bad switch.
3. The antenna set up configuration were wrong.

If you have a dishnet receiver, hook it up to each sat feed and test it out one by one. Use another know working receiver, or borrow from your friend, hook it up. This way you will know at lease the problem is your receiver or is your cable/switch/LNB/dish has misaligment:beer:
