I have been reading about the gtools and channel programs etc....I have not used any of these and have not even looked at what they are all about, but the Ariza 700 has an epg, most of the time the program information is there, the channels are there, although only the call letters in most cases...what are the channel master programs going to do, or the gtools program?

Also is there a program available that will help me program the clock?
The epg tells me what is on but the times are completely unreliable....no way of knowing when the program starts, or how far through a movie you are etc....tia.

For most of the FTA receivers the time are not very good, and not much you can do, unless you know how to modify the bin file.

As for the Channel Master and GTool, is the utility program use to load the channels from your box, then you can edit customize the channels to what you want, then load it back to the box. Ariza has it own editor, I don't think the CMaster will support the Ariza box.
