Hello.
I have a question: Do I need to program the 2700a while still connected to the dish? I ask this because my PC is not near the TV or the receiver. I need to disconnect it and bring it to the PC.
Thanks!

Yes:yes:
When you disconnect the Receiver, following this procedures:
1. Turn off the receiver with remote control or from the front panel.
2. Turn off the power switch OFF, it locate on the rear. then unplug the AC core from the wall.
3. Now go a head disconnect your other cable.
When yo hoop up the receiver to PC, just revers of the above step
1. Connect the serial cable to receiver.
2. Plug in AC power core, then, then turn on receiver. Wait till receiver boot up and display ON.3.
3. Open the loader, and flash the bin file. When ldown load complete, Wait till receiver boot up and display ON.
If you interupting while receiver booting up or flash, it might cause problem to your receiver. So what ever action you going to take, just Wait till receiver boot up and display ON, even on the PC pop up down load OK or completed.

2500a uses straigth cable and programs just like a fortec
For the bin
1:Open Blacklist Pansat 1500A & 2500 Updater or the one you have (make sure is for PANSAT 2500A)
http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=39174
2:Find the flash rom file and flash rom file needs to be selected the one am using is in Pansat 2500A Release 01[1].10.05.zip
http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=39862
PLEASE READ ('read me") WORD DOCYMENT BEFORE USING
3:Turn on the pansat and as soon as you see the first light (night rider) click download and wait till is done
After is done and want to do the channel list with a new list
4:Open cannel master or gtools open the channel list
Turn on the Fortec and wait till it says on or goes into a channel
Check the display screen and make sure is on
Once is on or in a channel just click connect stb and download
For gtools is stb type 2
For channel list click tools=write to stb=choose pansat 2500a,pansat 1500a
Wait till is done (screen will appear)
Or just do a blind scan on each satelitte

Thanks for the replies.
Then I need to bring the dish cable to my computer room.
Can I just run an extension adapter? or do I need to bring a third cable from the dish to this room? (I have two receivers right now).
I really can't bring the PC to each room.
Thanks!

Mine is right out of the box, 2700a. So are you saying hook up to the dish first, then unhook and take to PC to program. I am asking this because when I try to download it just fails, no error or any message other than fail. My chord has a gender changer on it because it is male-female not female-female. Would this play havoc with the download?
Thanks
