PLEASE HELP ME FOR I AM HOPELESSLY LOST.
i HAVE DOWLOADED AND FLASHED THE LATEST BIN FILE, SCANNED THE TWO SATTELITES (110 & 119). DID A BLIND SCAN, CHANGED THE SETTING ON THE DISQ SWITCHES, AND STILL I KEEP GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE.
i GET THE CHANNEL GUIDE BUT I CANNOT WATCH ANY OF THE CHANNELS.

First make sure that you have your disecq switch set to match your antenna setup in your STB. IE 119 position 1, 110 position 2. 22khz off lnb power on freq 11.250 You should be good to go then. If having a problem scanning, you might want to DL a channel list for your area. Just make sure it is current with all the TP changes last week. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I did have teh switches backwards. I am now going through the scan procedure again.

I will let you know how things turned out. How do i d/l the guide for my area? I live in alabama.

Do you have a good signal level and good quality level?

i do have a good signal and good quality.
it just keeps saying the channels are scrambled

Have you went into parental control and set the default keys.The last fix you had to do that or scrambled channels.There was a read me in file.

you have the very last 118 bin ?

This is What I did with remote control:
Press Menu, then
Press Installation, the password is "0 0 0 0" four ceroes.
Press Antenna Setup.
Then on Satellite list I pick the one that have better "Level" and "Quality"
The one I selected are: Echo 4/KU, and ECHO 1.2Ku

For ECHO 4/KU "LNB Type" = Standar, "LNB Local-Freq." = 11250
and DisCeqc #2.

For ECHO 1.2 LNB Standar, freq same, and DiSEqC# 1,

Then do a Blind Scan.
I did this and I am watching tv.

guys thanks for the help. the problem was in my bin file. I had inadavertently loaded the 114 file instead of the 118 bin file.::no: Then i had a hard time finding how to access the "cass" menu. The directions to get to the menu were not clearly outlined.:wacko:
Anyway, it is all fixed now.

It might still working, but you should load it with 118 bin file, it has N2 keys ready feature.

mas521ca, thanks for the above info link, but the instructions says to go to CAS MENU after SW Download, what is SW download?
Note:- after flashing the box with 118 bin, parental contral is grayed out (cant select it) please help, thanks..

Select your satelites in setup and blind scan them than the parental control will be able to be selected it should anyways.
