This receiver has the same specs as the fortec lifetime ultra and the pansat.
Same processor and ram. I can't see where there is enough added features to
justify the purchase. It's got a smart card reader and a menu, but it may not
be able to keep up with the increased data requirement. Check it out and compare.

Can anyone please tell me what files would you use for the orasat? would you use the same files as for a coolsat? I ordered an orasat! Now I am afraid that it was a mistake. I cannot find any files anywhere. I sent a e mail to the site where I ordered the orasat from and they refered me to this site. They have not been alot of help. Thanks

i just got the box, had no problems getting n2 up. thanks to dsstester.

I have pansat 2700a and now running orasat 5.0 in my room. Both are great fta receiver. I really like the orasat, info discription come's up faster on the orasat. Channel changing is about the same, but i think the orasat is little bit faster.

To program, i found the orasat pretty easy. load up bin, click start on the program and switch on the back power switch on and your done. Pretty quick programming time.

I now have both pansat 2700a and orasat 5.0 in my home and i think they are both great peices of fta hardware.

PS, no im not a retailer trying to promote a hardware, I am a end user who is pretty happy with the hardware.

hello

i am a dealer but we have tested it. it is a great unit very powerful. the support is key and the people that use to do the files for coolsat do it for orasat now not coolsat. so the files will be more places and best support.

receiver is easy to use fast setup/flash.

if you are a dealer and do not sell it you are missing out and so are your buyers.

i personal own the receiver and it is better then the coolsat 4000 pro if you looking to buy that buy the Orasat 5.0 and you will see.
