I used to program DTV cards, and it was, in someway, easy, I just loaded a bin in the card (in most cases).

Now I use the pansat 2700a and the 2500a. I need to program those, I have some files downloaded from here... but: Is there a real guide to program these receivers? Mine are working with some channels... is down really. But it was working N2 (without the porn).

To load a bin to the receiver, do I need to download a channel list or something?

A friend of a friend was programing them for me but I never watched him doing it...

I need to program my receivers myself... Is there a step by step guide?

Check this link and there is step by step zip file that can help you with your Pansat 2500a. For your Pansat 2700, just download the Pansat 2700 tools and do the same as 2500a.

I followed all the steps but I can not get the GTRom Loader v3[1][1].35 [pansat2700A].exe program to connect with the receiver. I always get flash failed (with no reason). I am using this bin: X-87BL_050901_114_api.bin and channel list: Tripton 110 119.gtd.

The receiver is not connected to the antenna, it is turned on and connected to the PC. The cable is a normal db9 cable with a Db9F Db9F adapter.

Is there something i'm doing wrong?

You need to use a NULL (cross over) cable to download to 2700, the 2500 uses a STRAIGHT thru cable .Radio Shack has null modem adapter around $5.

:D Normally retailers sell the receiver with the cable. I have a 2500a and I use the BlackList updater version 1.4.0.0 and the gTools for XP to laod the channels. Never had a problem.....But, is you did not get the cable with the receiver, go ahead and buy it from Radio Shack or Ebay....

for the new people that havent had the pleasure of meeting Mel42, he is an old time C-bander that is very knowledgable in true FTA satellites/LNBs and stuff like that, plus all the DN stuff, besides all that he is good people

that is correct, I was using a straight db9 cable and I need a null modem adapter.

Now, about the files:

1) First I download the "X-87BL_050914_114_api ecm 09-13 fixed.BIN" to the receiver.
2) Then I download the "Pansat 251 slow ecm 09-13-05.bin"

Is this correct?

I don't need to download the channel list because it is already loaded. I saw my friend doing it and those steps were the ones he used...

The "Pansat 251 slow ecm 09-13-05.bin" is all you should need for the 2500. Also there are updated bins in the download section (253 and 254).

For the 2700 use "X-87BL_050914_114_api ecm 09-13 fixed.BIN" it is also in the download section.

if the slow ecm bin doesnt take the first time, i recommend you load the factory flash .bin located in the files section. then try the 251 slow ecm bin. i have encountered this on one of my boxes. it took the second time.
also make sure your diseq settings are sat 119 diseq 1, sat 110 diseq 2, lnb power on, 22khz off, 12 v on when loading a channell list
