HOW TO SETUP THE DIGAWAVE 6800
What You Will Need:
Loader Software
Null Modem Cable (Same as Blackbird, not Pansat or Fortec) Pins 2&3,4&6, and 7&8 are crossed.
Digawave Receiver.
Latest Keys For Dish/B3V
Setting Up The Receiver:
1. Extract FTLink and the latest .bin file to a folder on your computer
2. Connect the null modem cable from comm port 1 on your computer to the receiver.
3. Turn on receiver and wait for it to boot up.
4. Go to the folder where you saved the files and double click "FTLink.exe"
5. When the program window opens, click "Setup Comm" and select Comm 1 then click "Ok"
6. You should now see your receiver info. If you get a "Connection Failed" message and no receiver info, verify you have the correct cable and comm port. try using comm 2
7. Click "Upgrade Software" and select the bin file you extracted and saved in step 1
8. Wait for the receiver to say "GOOD" (approx. 10 min.) WARNING!! DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PROCESS UNTIL DONE.
9. Unplug receiver and connect it to your dish and TV. (Connect only 1 sat at this time Do not use a switch)
10. Setup antenna as follows and scan the sat:
ANTENNA=1
type=FIXED
Sat=119 (or what ever you have connected to the rcvr)
Lnb TYPE=Normal
Lnb freq 1=11250
Lnb freq 2=11250
0/12volts=12V
22k=None
Diseqc=None
C/KU band=None
11. click on system setup
12. Enter 1004 with the remote. No numbers will appear on the screen, but a red button will appear in the lower left of the screen.
13. Press the red(audio) button on the remote and a hidden menu will appear.
14. Scroll Left or right until you see "Nagra" At the bottom of the screen you will see "Add Provider"
15. Press the red(Audio) button on the remote and enter 0001 (0101 for B3V)
16. Scroll down to the first line of f's and enter 0607F0E2616FE145. (For B3v, enter the B3V key)
17. scroll to the next line of f's and enter C26646F87A73482A. (Or the second B3V key)
18. press "Save" and "Exit"
19 At this point you can either watch TV, or connect any additional dishes,lnbfs,and switches you
may have and setup accordingly. You can either scan each sat or load a channel list using "Channel Edit" Note: Blackbird lists will work with this receiver.

INSTRUCTIONS for DG6800/DG7000
THIS IS HOW I got it working. BTW picture quality looks better and channel changing is realy slow compare to Pansat/Fortec. Channel can be edited on a text documment and u can use BB channel edit programs(channel edit1.3 or FCD channel edit)
ALL these instructions and files work for the DG7000 also
HOW TO FLASH A NEW DIGIWAVE DG6800(new from the box) If u flash it before, disregard step 6, 7, 8, and 9
Download files attached
1-DG6800 10-0504.zip
2-DigiwaveDG6800Boot and FTA1.zip
3-FTLink.zip
4-Florida Channel data. zip
Unzip them and save them into any directory u want
1. Connect DG6800 receiver to PC using RS-232C female-female null modem cable.
I will recommend you to buy
6-Ft. Serial RS-232C Cable
6-ft DB9 female to DB9 female-shielded cable

Then u will have both straight thru and null modem RS232 serial, which will allow u to flash Pansat, Fortec, etc(26-252) and
BB, DG6800, Ariza, etc(26-152 and 26-254)
2. Connect receiver to power outlet and Turn on the power from the back panel switch.
Display will show "boot". Then - - - -, then 0 or a number.
3. Run FTLINK.exe on your computer.
4- Click " Setup Com" button and select COM1 or 2 depend on your serial comp port config, Most of the time is COM 1.
5- Left click "ok".
6. Left click "upgrade software", then, browse Downloaded and unzipped "DigwaveDG6800Boot". bin. Double Click on it.
Download will start. DO NOT INTERRUP THE PROCESS.
Display will show loading from d001 to d100, then will go - - - -. then f001 to f100, then will show "good"
7. Turn OFF power from back panel switch, wait 5 second, then turn receiver ON. Display will show "boot", then - - - -. then
will go 0.
8. Left click "upgrade software", then, browse Downloaded and unzipped "FTA.bin".Double Click on it.
Download will start. DO NOT INTERRUP THE PROCESS.
Display will show loading from d001 to d100, then will go - - - -. Then f001 to f100, then will show "good"
9. Turn OFF power from back panel switch, wait 5 second, then turn receiver ON. Display will show "boot", then - - - -. Then
will go UCr.
10. Left click "upgrade software", then, browse Downloaded and unzipped "DG6800 10-0504.bin".Double Click on it.
Download will start. DO NOT INTERRUP THE PROCESS.
Display will show loading from d001 to d100, then will go - - - -. then f001 to f100, then will show "good"
11. Turn OFF power from back panel switch, wait 5 second, then turn receiver ON. Display will show "boot", then - - - -. then
will go 1.
NOW U have two options.
A- LOAD a factory data text format with FTlink or a channel data bin format with channel editor. Remember these are somebody
else’s scanned and edited channel and antenna settings, so u may get scramble for the channel that aren’t spot beams for ur
area and u must change antenna setting that correspond to ur hardware(switches, LNBs type, motor positions, and connections)
B- DO your own antenna set up and Channel Search.
A_ Load somebody else’s data
12- Click "Write Factory data".
13- Browse for text file and double click on it. Download will start, display will show d001 to d1000, then "good". Turn
receiver OFF then ON. Display will show "boot", then - - - -, then 1.
Before download data and If u have ird connected and ON it may show an message to turn receiver ON. Disregard it. press OK.
If it doesn’t u may need to turn OFF and then ON ur ird and wait till it shows a number on the display.
14- Connect receiver to TV and Dish. Turn on receiver. TV display will show orange DIGITAL screen
15- Press MENU, down arrow scroll to User Installation. Right arrow to Antenna Set up. Press OK. IT will go to Antenna 1.
Now ull have to change 22KHz and diseqc depending on ur switches and connections. Repeat process ofr Antenna 2, 3, 4, 5 and
so on if any.
16- Press Exit, it will show a Message Box, scroll to Ok(yellow) and press OK.
17- Scroll down to System Setting. Press OK. Enter number 1004. A red key point will come out at ur bottom left. Press red
button (audio). Press right until NAGRA appears in the first line. Down arrow up to Provider and right arrow up to 0001. Now
scroll down to first key line and press OK. scroll to the letters and number and enter

scroll down to second key line, ok. and enter

If u r planning to get BEV scroll to Provider and right arrow up to 0801. Scroll down to first key, ok, and enter

Scroll To Save Key and press OK.
18- Exit, exit
19- Enjoy. If antenna settings are OK and u see scramble. DO NOT panic, wait for a few second until receiver start decrypted
the signal.
B- Set Antenna and Scan
STEP B: CONNECT TO YOUR DISH AND SCAN YOUR CHANNELS
12B. Do as STEP 14
13B. Do as step 15
14B. Scroll down to Channel. On Antenna 1 scroll to Search one sat(FTA and $), press OK, scan will start, after finish it,
press view.
Press mENU, scroll to User Installation-Right arrow, down arrow to Channel Search. Repeat above process for all
sats(Antennas)
Channels for BEV will be named but channel for DN will be as TVXX format
15B. Same as 16.
16B. Same as 17.
17B. Same as 18.
18B. Same as 19
You can edit ur channel as explained by IZA or using Channel edit program(see BB section for instructions)
1. Connect DG6800 to PC with RS-232C null modem cable again.
2. Turn on the power of the DG6800 receiver
3. After you saw "boot" disappeared, run FTLINK.exe on your computer. Click " Setup Comm" button and select COM1, click "ok".
4. Click "Read User Data" button and save the data (xxxx.txt) from your dg6800 to your folder.
5. opan xxxx.txt w/ notepad.
6. roll it down to [program information] section, you will find all channels are listed below. And then, find "serviceID"
column. this ID is the same as SID.
7. refer to the other channel list you have or ekb.dbstalk.com/dishlist.htm or lyngsat.com, input the channel name to replace
"TVxx". For instance, put "0498 Pboy Esp" to replace "TV211". (notes: 1, only 13 bytes is allowed within double quotation
marks. 2. do not touch anything else but channel on this section)
8. save it.
9. follow 1, 2, 3, then, click "Write Factory Data". open the new xxxx.txt file (which is you just finished). then click ok.
10. waiting for the reciver said GOOD (!!!Do Not interrupt the downloading until it complete)
11. shutdown the power for receiver for 15 seconds and turn on.
12- watch TV

rplowman 09-27-2005, 04:48 PM Okay followed and loaded file to a T. But I can only get audio, radio channels and the preview channels. All other channels appear in the guide as a "$" after and "No signal" or "scarambled"...what might I be doing wrong?

tokinallday420 12-14-2006, 05:20 PM i have a 7000 and have the same problem as tipper, i have never had my system working yet, but i know 100% that i am pointed at 119 i have channels programmed i can even watch the preview channels even though they are french. after i put the new keys in in stead of saying scambled on the top of the channel is says updating, do i need another bin?
