I have some links to other sites but I would rather get the info here if anyone can help.
1. Will a dtv loader work for s cards if so where can I get the flash files.
2. What is an avr3 (says it protects S cards)
3. Can S cards be unlooped

The AVR3 and card are loaded via the printer port on your computer. You actually install the AVR3 right to the back of your computer and use eepedit to program. I have done it but I'm in no way an expert.

Thanks Guys, Is the avr3 required or is it just for if your card got hit in a b/s type of ecm? Also can someone post a link where I can find out what s cards are hackable, I saw one once but can't find it again.

Rom 2 and Rom 3 cards are what you want , execpt for Rom 3 cards that have been in the stream since Feb, they had a hole that was closed but reopened, then finally closed again in July , the newest cards are Rom 10 and are not hackable at this time.. :( (except for the use of a avr3)

Dish is more involved than dtv, security wise that is, for instance card has to marry reciever , "box keys" have to be writtin to the card, If you have a ex-subbed s-card it contains these box keys of the reciever it was activated on, so if you don't have this reciever, you guessed it no tv...(of course there are some ways around this but they are pretty complicated)..

With an avr3 you have to load keys about 3x a week maybe, not bad really only takes a few mins to load them in, works with all cards I believe... Like emulation for dtv.
Altho I hear dish can fry your reciever via ECM, also be able to "detect" certain things, reciever modifications(maybe not)... :(
Maybe that's why they are pretty cheap :D

new info at this time rom 10 cards can be programed with a dish unlooper but as we all know unless you are going big you are not going to shell out the bucks for one and s cards can be unlooped using this unlooper.eric :)
