I currently have a Fortec Ultra and I am looking to upgrade to a Coolsat 4000 Pro. The EPG is very a very attractive feature. Does anyone know if $250.00 shipped is a good price. Just wanted to get some opinions.

there is a difference in the plus and pro...
the pro has s-video out/s-pdif audio/two sets of rca outs
the plus just has one set of rca outs..
(hence the price difference)... going price (as stated above ) of the plus is 249.00

I have a coolsat 4000 pro and I'm totally lost. I hope someone can help me.
I don't know anything about FTA as you will find out. A good friend told me I could receive TV stations from South America on this thing and so far "nothing". I receive Arab & Asian stations a few US ones.
I can't figure out after a auto scan and not finding the freq I need to manually enter the freq. When I put in the numbers 3971 on Satmex 5 it says invalid because Coolsat has 00.000 to enter freq. Does anyone know how this works?
Also how can I view the little screen in full mode? With equipment and installation which was 450.00 bucks I have spent over $1000.00 bucks to no avail. Someone please help me thank you. I"m in Southern California just in case that's important and the dish is 36 inch Fortes.

Might I add that the manual might as well be in hieroglyphs!

I bought the Megasat 4000 XL from Harmonyfta.com. They have a link on the site "Megasat Distributor". It truly does work exactly like the original Coolsat 4000 Pro! I've been running the norwest bins since I got it a few weeks ago without any problems. I'm presently using the 1.08 release.
