received my coolsat today,and got it working.i am use the single dtv round dish and lnb.was trying to get 110 and 119,getting xxll express instead,so guess will retune my dish.just want to thank all who help me.

adjusted my dish today,now getting 110 and 119 off of single dtv lnb and round dish.thought i had done something wrong .after i set it,had to wait for about 1 to 2 mins,before it clicked in.now i need a 30 to 36 in dish,and lnb to pickup other birds.wouldalso like to know about what bird to set it on to get the most out of it.one site has one dish and lnb for $99.does that sound like the going rate?thanks

It is impossible to pickup 2 sats with 1 Lnb. With most FTA receivers if you point at say the 110 and then check for signal on the 119 it will show you good signal, but what you are actually seeing is the signal from 110. The receiver does not know what sat you are pointed at and the 110 and 119 use some of the same TP freqs.

yep your right Mel,cant get anything on 119,so guess im getting 110.now this lnb,has 2 connector,if i hook another cable to the other side of lnb,then connect the two with diseqc switch,will that get me 119?or will i have to put up another dish and lnb,and run cable to diseqc switch? thanks

The second output of the Lnb is for a second receiver.

You will need to either strap another Lnb to your existing dish or add another dish with Lnb. If you strap another Lnb to an 18” dish you will lose some signal strength.

Either way you will need a switch (Diseqc or 22kHz).

yeah the light came on after i replyed ,about the other connector being for another receiver.i'm getting level 76% and quality 96%,so if i put another lnb on dish,would still be able to get a good pic,right?lol.but most likely have to point my dish a little more to 119,and lose more signal,hmm.ok thanks mel

as long as signal is decent, the picture quality will be the same. The only problem with a weaker signal (as long as it is strong enough to come in with good weather) is you will be more likely to have problems when the weather gets bad
