when i receive my coolsat 4000 is there a way to save the factory settings,before i use the coolsat flash,?i noticed they have some here but no coolsat factory settings.was also reading seting up your fta receiver and it mentions about using a jtag,and looks like it could be a little hard to make one.this is the first i have heard of jtag for a fta,.is this something you would need?thanks for the infor guys

If you want to go back to the factory settings you can just flash the receiver with the factory flash.

The only reason to use a Jtag is if your receiver is too screwed up and you can not bring it back to life using the normal flash process. You should not have to worry about it, hopefully :)

There is an option to reset to factory settings, but this will just reset all your switch and Lnb settings. It will not return it to the original factory condition, to do this you need to re-flash with factory flash.

fta file section under coolsat , i know the factory bin is there along with all the updates

if you have A coolsat pro the coolsat4000_120 is the factory flash.. if you have a plus the coolsat4000_100 is the factory flash.
