came home from being gone for two days and my pansat wont work. If you turn it on you get the knightrider lights then they go out. I've turned it off and even unpluged it from the outlet. Just wondering how long to leave it unpluged....
thanks
Also if I unhook it from the dish the menu comes up as soon as i hook it back to the dish it goes to 0 and then shuts off...
any help is appreciated....

Are you using a diseq switch? Was the receiver hooked to the line when you were gone? It sounds like it got spiked. Luckily, if your menu comes up when it's unhooked, it probably didn't get the receiver. I'm pretty new but I'd guess either the LNB and/or the switch got zapped, since hooking to the cable kills the receiver. Try bypassing the diseq switch if you're using one, and see if that fixes it, if so, you're just out the switch. Good luck!

I think I figured it out. I hooked it up to where the line come into my house in the basement where the amp. is and it works fine. So I must have a short from there to the reciever. Going to change and let you know....
