I tried to load a channel list to my pansat 2500A after it reached 100% the box reset but when it restarted it whent to a letter n on the screen and then cycles it self every 15 sec to reboot. I am able to reinstall the origanal eprom upon startup but the unit goes to channel 509 and just freezes. Can any body please help.

What do you mean reinstall the original eprom, did you actually physically change the internal hardware? Or are you talking about just reflashing the bin file.

I'm new here, but from what I've read, your flash didn't finish properly. Try re-loading the new bin file, and make sure and wait until it is 100% and re-boots itself. Then reload the channel list.

subw_eng is probably right, your flash didnt finish and is now corrupted <_<

what program are U using to load your channel list ?

things that need to happen for U to watch TV

1) load a .bin with valid keys using a downloader (not GTools)

2) do a sat search button in the menu to find channels

or

3) load a channel list using GTools (not a downloader)

the .bin and the downloader are here

What I meant was that I loaded the original Bin, I could only download if I started down loading upon the box starting up then after the down load went thru to the 2500A the unit will reboot then go to channel 509 and lock up. I reloaded a different channel list with STB gtools v1.85 and now the lights just flash across the box going back and forth with no picture. This box had worked fine I was just trying to down load a different channel list when this all happened. Somebody has said that I used up the 1MB of memory by loading a different channel list could that be true if so how do you dump the memory or Eprom. Thanks for your help

Yes that is what I meant the Pansatusa.bin is what I reloaded. I cannot get to the menu to do a factory reset.

post back sparky..its been 5 days now...let the site know if this worked for you so itll help others out..i hope it works so you dont have to go jtagging the thing...if it doesnt..try loading an earlier version of a bin and see if it will load properly..if it does..then reflash it with the current bin we're all using and see if it's successful too..i agree..your original flash you tried to load on there got corrupted some how.....of course, using bill gates windows one can expect that...its all "beta" as far as im concerned

Sorry guys but I just got a little fed up with this box so I put it off to the side for a few days. I tried the boot repaire and that did not work, but one thing I noticed is that everytime I download to the box at the end of the download it says either flash burning or burning. Now this happens either with the downloader or STB tools. I called the person that I bought this from and he says that my memory could be filled and that it might have to be J-tagged also I sent an Email to pansat and they replied that the memoryy might be damaged and it would cost $50.00 to repaire. When this happend I was downloading a channel guide to the unit and it was still connected to the Sat and TV could that of done something?

I had the same problem. I downloaded a channel list using STB1 instead of 2 and got the exact same thing. What I did was flash it with the latest factory bin from pansatusa and then flashed it with an updated bin and then load my channel list using STB2. It is working perfectly again. Hope this helps and good luck.

Wingnut101's channel list are in order. You can find them in the downloads section. Make sure that you get the correct 1 for your setup EX: Working5 is for Dish Pro and the other is for Legacy.
