Rebooted PC and now I only get Ch 101.

Man i wish my guys would get hit, it's been slow since june. According to others charlie tried to change spending limits and if your blocker didn't allow it, your card got hit!!!!!!

The blocker just prevents the card from taking an update. It doesnt stop the receiver from getting hit. These type ecms sent today are nothing but a pain and a chance for you to mess with the receiver. Just erase the correct sector for your receiver and hook it back up. Takes a couple minutes for the whole process. I have been using the latest nomore64 for a long time and works great to protect the card from updates.

hey Chuck, Thanks for your reply. your exactly right the reason behind my question is perhaps checksum blocker did what it was supposed to and not allow this update thus making the card and ird a "target" for an ecm while on the other hand nomore64 may have let the update through? Jus playing devils advocate here. just wondrering you said you had been running nomore64, did you go down at all since the ecm ?

yeap same fix should work

Just checked my DISH 508's one down with loc ID 000..01 other was fine! I forgot to turn the other 508 off last night and after checking it I powered off, all was fine. Came back and turned it on ... to my surprise loc 000..01! my BEV 508 is OK.

Reloaded P222 software instead of latest P223 and will be testing CSI!

:) :) :)

*** Maybe leaving on the receiver will bypass the ecm unless it gets flagged for an ECM on the next power up? ***

I have a 510 mod to 508 with AR105-C installed. I still have lost all my recording. Does anyone have this problem losing their recording?

ECM got my 2800,301.010, and 301.013 yvous emulation. Only the 2800 has the no dialup fix. I have been using rom3 rev 382 hex.

My Rom-3 has been running just fine, but I don't have very much stuff programmed on the card. I don't have any PPV channels programmed on my card. In fact, as stupid as this might sound, I actually have less channels programmed on my test card than I have on my subscribed card.

I got a reboot around 1630 CST so i figured something was up. My AR-105C performed perfectly and other than the 90 seconds or so I was down on the reboot I'm still running fine on my MC1.

If you are using a PVR your recordings are NOT protected. Your IRD won't be hit but you will lose anything you have saved. Oddcircuits is working on a new fix (since December) but it's not out yet.

I suspect Charlie will have another go at us before Sunday. I know I would if I were him. About an hour prior to kickoff.

I really dont believe the weekend has much to do with the ECMs coming down. Dish cant stop anyone from hooking up a regular antenae to their TV to watch the Super Bowl on Network TV.

well if charlie neglected to send ecm's i guess there would not be a charlie
because charlie would be out of business, everyone and there brother would
have a hacked box and watch tv for free ,i think that a lil bit of reading / research is a small price to pay to counter his ecm's :)

Hehe... in the time it takes to reach behind and undo the cable... an extra couple of mins you can jtag the sucker, erase the sector, stream it and watch tv again....

Gives me the chance to dust the shelf where the IRD is sitting :D

Folks have already taken some time to write them up. It may seem daunting at first... but it really isn't. Check out the document at the link below
