I just got this and I went top thier site to download the software but everytime I try to open the files. which are .rar my computer opens it in microsoft picture and its all jibberish..

What software do I need to flash this receiver for dishnetwork? Really confused..

You need the program winrar to uncompress this file. A rar is a compressed file.
