i got a rom 10 today the rev is at A1B which i thought was a virgin but its locked in some way.

here is what happens in nag 4.1 when i try to clean it or anything

after it is unable to get in a msg pops up says
login attempt failed
then with a dot in it says
specify backdoor login password
then it has a space for a lot of hex numbers/letters to be filled in
anyone know what this is about and how i can get in the card to clean?

I'd say ur card is marked. Open the original file that u'd initially applied to the card in nagra. Look for the Backdoor 0 password & enter it in the pop up window. it should do a complete read of ur card then. Open the eeprom window, scroll down to C038, if u see FF then thats ur confirmation that the card is marked. Mine's at C039
Put it away for a sunshiny day (because it may be raining tears by now(yours) or u can go to work trying to create a fix because a lot of ppl need it right now.

Same procedure applies for cleaning as trying to read the card
& next time dont post ur Cam ID. U can take it off now, i think charlie has seen enough of it :p
