I have a subbed Rom 10 and was thinking of giving the magic card a try. My card is a rev A23, which I think means that it is stream locked. Will the magic card still work in sub mode if my card is rev A23?

I have also read a little about the DSSRev card. What is the difference between the DSSRev card and the magic card? Which one is better?

How often do the DSSRev cards and magic cards have to be updated?

Just want to know what to expect if I do decide to try it. Any info is appreciated. If you know of something that works better with a sub let me know.

I am not familiar with the DSSRev card. I am familiar wiith the Magic Card though. The Magic Card can be run in several different modes. They can be used with either Dish or Bev. The modes are as follows.

1. Married Sub
2. Non-Married
3. Cam-Less Rom-3
4. Cam-less Rom-10
5. Camless Rom-11
6. Blocker Rom-10X
7. FTA-Fortec 5900

You can use a Magic Card in your receiver. It will last for quite awhile, depending on how much and how often Dish Network sends out ECM's. Magic Cards are subject to ECM's just the way a regular Rom card is. But the big difference is that a Magic Card can't get locked or looped. It has something to do with the way the eeprom in the cards are made.

There is a new card coming out this month.
If I'm not mistaken its called a neo card.
