I have Dishnet dish on roof, I hooked up my 2500 and I get locals from NY to Calf. 1 showtime ch and a few other . No HBO no BET NO Bravo etc. do I have to get another dish, if so where and what kind

thanks in advance It sounds like your dish is pointing at the 110, and not the 119 the 119 bird has more of what you are looking for, you can add another dish to pick up the other bird, then you will find all the channels yyou want !! :yes: Lots of places sell dishes or check out e-bay :D

Thank you Ill get another dish it is a duel LNB one pointing at each bird, I quess it has a switch in it. :rolleyes:

for the fta reciver to work properly you need to get the right switch for it as a sw21 or a pro lnbf will not work with the fta reciver get a discq 1.2 switch and i didn't spell that right but u get the idea...just remember a sw21 or a dish pro lnbf will not work properly with it...and i know some are going to jump on me for saying a dish pro won't work properly as it will but you will have to edit all your tp settings which is not worth the effort

The DishPro works just fine and it's really not much of an effort to get it going. the easiest way to get it going is just download a DishPro channel list to the 2500, you can then scan the TP's for your locals or any other channels that you are missing.

To convert a normal channel list just subtract all horizonal TP's from 25600 and change it to vertical.

IE. on sat 119 transp 8 is 12326h. doing the subtraction, you get 13274. So change transp 8 to 13274 and change h to v.

To add additional dishes to receive a third or fourth sat you have to add an external 4x1 Diseqc switch and feed both outputs from the lnb to the Diseqc.
