I have a question for you nohash. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am not trying to be a jerk or anything. I was just wondering why anyone would want to clone a Dish Network card? What I mean is, suppose your neighbor subscribes for, say, $40 per month. Okay, he has a subbed card and just say it is a Rom-3 card. Why would you want to clone it? All you really need is the CAM ID. The boxkeys and IRD number need to come from your receiver. His boxkeys and IRD number are of no use to you.

You can use any virgin Rom-3 card image and then edit it with your IRD number, boxkeys and CAM ID. You create tiers using a Rom Tier Maker program and you add PPV and then write the image to the card. So why do want to clone a card? It would only be useful if you didn't want to add any other channels. I don't know, maybe I a missing something here. If I am, please set me straight. Like I said, I mean no dis-respect, I am just curious as to why anyone would want to clone a card.

well this is for people that have 2 or more IRDs if they clone 1 to the other its easierfor them to keep up with or maybe they have 2 cards and 1 got hit but the other 1 didnt so they clone the 1 that got hit to the good 1 then they will have 2 cards up and going with the same cam id if you will notice I also posted a how 2 on cloning IRDS so if you have 2 or 3 IRDs you can clone your cards and IRDS and there all the same or you can clone your other cards to a sub card then read the image off the card you cloned add a ppv patch and blocker write it back to card

That's interesting. I have more than one receiver too, one is subbed so I don't mess with that one. That receiver always works. Then I have other ones which I play around with. I may have to try this cloning thing sometime. Thanks for the info.

Cloning, that's what a lot of people do. Just clone your uncle's or friends rom, that'll keep you going for a while. I remember the good old hu clone days. Some people would clone tons of thier associates on just one sub, it was crazy.
