I'm looking to buy a FTA receiver.
Can anyone advice on the Pansat or Blackbird?

DVB CARD it even cheaper and does alot more like PVR...........

pansat dude ! cheap easy and hehhee ligit ! no worry of letters from pansat as it is used for fta and comes unflashed , the BB is flashed so you can get busted for ordering it

correction, you can get a letter from dish or bev for watching unpaid satellite feed coming from thier network. If you have an unflashed receiver, you are ok because they are legal, but once you flash it and bring in dish or bev, you are stealing satellite feed and can receive the dreaded letter.

Pansat is perfectly legal to buy. The Blackbird, on the other hand, is already modified when sold to receive dish; so you can get sued.
