Ok guys here goes, I am trying my luck with a ATMEGA 128 with automatic jumper and I try programming it with Nagra edit and it looks like it takes but I decided to check my work with a Iso programmer and it wont even come up. I can check my rom 3 card with the iso and it looks good. When i put the atmega into the reciever and do a info on it the tv tells me that ca id is zeros all the way. yet the programmer with the atmega says i got cam. can the atmega be f-----. I am just trying to find a way to test it . thanx

I don't have an Atmega board so my knowledge of them is extemely limited. But I have read right here on this web site that a large number of these boards are defective. Something like one third of them do not work. Now keep in mind here that I am not saying that is your problem, I am just saying that it COULD be your problem.

Sey2much has become kind of an expert with the atmega lately and surely will help you out. Read the Atmega stuff thats posted here and then ask away.....good luck and maybe one day soon when I start messing with them you can help me and others out.

Also, Mas will be a big help to you too. I believe he has used the Atmega quite a bit and his experience in that mode of testing will benefit you a lot. Between Sey2much and Mas you are in good hands. Then again, if you had Allstate insurance you would be in good hands too.

have all been putting in some time lately with this atmega stuff.jjcool is right you need a male to male adater ,got mine from radio shack, and i use my scanner cable, which plugs into you printer port on computer.you should have programmer with your atmega,,first read how to program atmega, then plug up programmer and open jeepers, you may have to hold programmer on to cable to start with,,then as time goes on it will fit tight on to cable, try to have only one file in your atmega folder.i'm sure you will let us know if you need any more help.good luck

Problem: Atmega board, and with the system information showed CAMID 0000000000, you will get error # 19 or #20.

Solution: What you are looking for is any cold soldering point on the atmega board, also make sure the smart-card reader on atmega board is secure and making good connection. if all the above is fine, then you might have to replacing crystal, a low proflie 18 mhz crystal

Gaugeman,
If you need a new atmega board, I would buy one from topshelf here. Its around 50 and his are solid. I've read where a lot of people where getting faulty ones. Avoid that and go to topshelf. Go to the selling part of this website.

Thanks jjcool , I have been looking at a few sites and trying to find one which will not let me pay another round of cash outlay. The old atmega card was seriously damaged when something bad happened to it.Ill see what topshelf has to offer in the way of the atmega plus maybe the magic card. Thanks alot guys for the quick response.
