Building your own programmer, there couldn't be anything simpler. For those of you that are not inclined to solder, please give it a try there's really nothing to it. Try it out, pretty soon you'll be fixing your own Plasma Sets and Dvds.

ok i built the programer with the max-232 and the x106 @ 3.68 Mhz for my rom 10 and it is not working? the only mod's i made was to remove the volt reg. and i now get the power from the PS2 port for power 5.14vdc witch should be good.
also the iso 7816 socket that i used was from a rca420 and the pin's where not numberd so i used the top veiw for the pin lay out is this right?
the file extension will show my work and mods that i did

I know I want the 8 contact, but from there a lot of choices left :

Connector, blade, 8 contact, straight configuration, 100000 cycle mechanical life

Connector with landing contact, sealed, 8 contact, straight configuration, 500000 cycle mechanical life

Connector, 8 contact, 50000 cycle mechanical life

Connector, sealed, 8 contact, straight configuration, 100000 cycle mechanical life

Connector with landing contact, sealed, 8 contact, straight configuration, 500000 cycle mechanical life

I'm thinking it should be blade type, right ?

Sealed means it has a covered top, right ?

pics include the types

Maybe somebody can take a look and tell me what type I need if I wanted to build a few
