Hello, I am another person that is switching from dave to dish. I have a iso programmer that was used during the H days and it appears to work with this Rom 3 card I have: AA-01, I am using nagraedit 4.1 and when I got to one step backup I get this error:

Now I have tried rompuke3v to pop it and after two tries it says the back door is open, but when I go back to nagraedit it gives me the same error. I have also used dishrom3popper and same results. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again for your help.

After rompuke says the card is open try running bug busters in nagra edit
then try to read hope that gets it for yea!!

Doing nothing wrong! I have 3 rom3 372 ect they all do the samething,they are a pain to open and using old h card iso well that doesnt help you may need to send it to a dealer to open,some say put card in to get updates but i have not had any freeware open a rom3 yet! rom 10 seems to have alot more shit and can be opened with freeware. Some of the new iso loaders have 2 crystals in them which may help you out better things have advanced sents the h card i have one to it will read but poping forget it. Which i had the golden key for you but i dont but if you find one let me know i have someone open mine there a pain and for 20 bucks its worth it. But try buying a new iso first Peace....

Well I think I did something wrong now, This is what I am getting on nagraedit and the rompuke:

Opening of COM1 was successful
Reset failed
Error reseting card, ATR string invalid
Closing of COM1 was successful


Is this some type of loop and is it fixable?

Open up nagraedit and check out help topic look for bugbusters I have had some luck unlooping cards with this method in the past.Are you can find a dealer to unloop it for yea check out dishcard are waltwild

ctech, thanks for helping me. I am still messing with it but I was wandering something. If people can buy a atmega128 and simulate a card, why would people mess with the original cards? Is there a drawback of the atmega 128, I can pick one up online for $50. Thanks again.

Theres alot more people testing cards if they get hit theres almost always a fix in a day are two . atmega128 dont stay up as long as the cards do
Sometimes it takes weeks for a fix for the atmega128.I have seen atmega128 selling for 30 dollars> I have one in my toy box but only pull it out if I'm realy bored this is just my 2 cents

Hey ctech, I've heard almost nothing about the Magic Card and yet supposedly it's almost bulletproof if you sub Dish... Any thoughts on Magic Card... which dealers to buy from or if they even work?

I see, I was wandering. I havent even tried to learn Dish for the last 5 years. It has always been about Dave. The iso programmer I am using has a crystal that says: FS036S, I figure it must work for these or I wouldnt think I could get this far. I just happened to have this Rom 3 card sitting with my spare HU's and thought I would give it a try. I am trying to learn to what I need and what I dont. I even stopped by a Dish retailer today and I am able to pick up a 2 room system with 301 recievers and pay a $50 act charge that is taken from my first month. I dont have to have a contract but from reading the fine print it says that if I cancel my sub at anytime that I have 15 days to return equip or I am charged a $100 for each ird. I think I will try my luck at garage sells. This is almost as much fun as learning how to flash tsops on xbox's.
