Hey guys, I was wondering if someone can help me. I have recently purchased a kbox prodigy and I am attempting to put it all together myself (a pretty big step for me). I have found instructional in various places which I am using and I am currently stuck on installing the khub. I have "K-Hub Version 2 Network Module" and it didn't come with any power cord and such. Any idea on how
to fix this issue?

Thank you for your time.

Version 2 I think just connects directly to the RS232 jack in the back of the stb and there is no need for a power supply.

Yea I figured it out, just install the file name .rom into the receiver. Thanks for your reply.

I don't know if anyone else is having or had trouble installing their kbox prodigy. I found these helpful. I haven't written it, someone else has on another site.

How to setup the KBox PROdigy

Step #1: Extract files from these posts onto a memory stick

1) Khub activate version 2.0
2) k1pro 201 20090625 (PROdigy file)
3) K1 PROdigy v 1.76 Factory File (beta)

Step #2: go to Menu --> Configuration --> System Recovery and select delete all channels, then select factory set. This will ensure that loading works properly.

Step #3: go to Menu --> Utilities --> Data Transfer --> Data Download from USB Storage, then select the factory bin(version 1.71)

Step #4: go to Menu --> Configuration --> System Recovery and select factory set.

Step #5: go to Menu --> Utilities --> Data Transfer --> Data Download from USB Storage, then select the latest bin(version 2.01 at time of writing)

Step #6: go to Menu --> Configuration --> System Recovery and select factory set.

Step #7: Plug the khub into the receiver using the black serial cable, also plug in the power adaptor and the network cable running to your router.

Step #8: go to Menu --> Utilities --> Data Transfer --> Data Download from USB Storage, then select the khub activation bin(khub.rom)

Step #9: go to Menu --> Installation --> Option and make sure all AU options are set to off and Mode is set to Network

Step #10: go to Menu --> Installation --> Dish Settings and configure the satellites you have setup the dishes for then press the red button on each satellite to scan in the channels.

Step #11: go to Menu --> Installation (maybe Configuration?) --> Network and change the mode to DHCP then press the green button on the remote and wait for it to complete

Step #12: Once the previous step has completed turn the receiver off with the remote, then from the back. Wait 30 seconds then turn the Unit back on and everything should be working.(everything being all the currently working channels, not necessarily every channel in your list)

These steps worked for me, just posting it here if anyone needs it. The files can be found here. Hope it helps someone else.
