Do you have to have a hardline or can it be connected wireless to a router ?

I can get wireless from the N'hood but i have no hardwires.

Anyone knows where to get this ?

It is an ethernet smartcard... i suppose it enables IKShttp://www.ftabins.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=8362&d=1205185659

Read up on IKS devices and then ask more questions when you know what it is exactly that you want so you can get help out.
There are FTA IKS receivers and there are a few other ways as well, what type of equipment do you have ?

You will have freezing as packets are dropped over a wireless link to a router due to interference.
The packets the Slingers use are UDP not TCP and are not resent if lost.

Because they use TCP which has error correction and support like 20 cards only.

Slinger is plugged into a Linksys WRT54g flashed with DD-WRT firmware, put into bridge mode, connecting wirelessly to a Netgear wireless cable modem and the setup is working pretty freeze-free. Getting a second or two freeze on rare occasion, might have happened 5 or 6 times an evening.

one could also use a wireless game adapter,or bridge
dlink and linksys has them and they work great

As I said it is susceptible to interference (the wireless signal is) so if you live in a noisy area you will get blackouts, if you get no interference where it is set up it will work like a hard wired connection.

By using a community wifi which is free and has a strong signal, is there any way it could be traced or detected by the providers?
