I finally got the Dreambox 500s to the point that I was able to scan the transponders. I now have a list of services. Echo 8.6/110, 470 services and Echo 7/119 306 services. Problem is I have no picture? I do have an EPG for the listings and signal is 60-62 and quality is 88-90, I did notice that DN is down, but would that also affect the news channels? I was under the impression that the news channels plus other fta channels would be up.
Any help in solving my problem would be greatly appreciated. I have read thru the forums, but did not find a similar situation. With all the help from here and lots of reading I am almost there.

check to see if you can see nasa, and yes dish is down right now using the latest version of RQ cam version 1.19

Yes I have Nasa at 200, EPG no picture. I have the 1.19 loaded and softcamed. But should'nt I have tv on the un-encrypted channels? This the main reason I made the purchase of the db because when ever dn got hit I would still have tv or did I miss something? Thanks for responding and assisting.

Nasa should be available to be viewed anytime it is unencrypted, and dreambox is up using rqcam 1.20 it is in the files section.

Thanks hififry, Nasa came in and loaded the new 1.20 and all channels are in. Thank you for your assistance. Is there any method for other free channels? I have no other means for TV if we go down. Any help is greatly appreciated.

is the rqcam 1.20 a emu for this box ? i loaded and the box says that is no emu to activate. i will apreciate a good help.
