I'm thinking about buying one of these tomorrow and i wanted to do a little research .... This was perfect for my needs . I have been using a Viewsat Ultra for a long time and wanted to test something new . Thankyou for the info .

If it helps any, I have two ultras and the 9000hd. I bought the solaris to try out and to use as a backup when the viewsats went down. It's worked out that I like the program guide better and we use the solaris all the time now.

Did you extract the file and open it in the loader? Are you using the data cable that came with your box?

:barf:hi everyone just bought nfusion solaris, hooked it up and loaded the 150 file but my receiver doesnt show the nimiq1 or nimiq2 satellites. can anyone help me please? Also i hae windows 98 and my adobe doesnt read you pdfselfhelpfile. Is there any other way to get this info?

when usein nfusion dont you have to point the disk to sat 98 or can you leave it on 110 and 119 ?

hey good people of bethlaham just got nfusion pheonix but for some reason i cant conect 2 internet i followed all steps and im using the cable that came with box ip and all numbers are good some reason its not giving me option for driver down load can some body help please.

There is no driver download. Just load 151.3 file, set your antenna settings and scan your sats. You should be set to watch TV

thats the wholr thing i cant figure out how 2 down load file already scaned chanels set all but strong signals 89 and 71 on 110 and 119 but cant figure out wher 2 down load file spend about 2 days also conected 2 computer man this is dificult.

I have the solaris...I just use it to watch tv and it works fine. I would recommend it to anyone.

The new box will arrive this week. I supported our advertisers, by purchasing from one of the two ads on the top banner of this page. I have read the detailed instructions, but still have a few questions.
1.Do I need a loader before I install 152.1 bin?
2. Will the box find the 152.1 bin by itself after I give the down load command?
3. Is the Solaris wireless already? I have a D-Link 524 live all the time. If I need to do anything regarding wireless hardware; then what do I have to do?
3. The rest of the setup sounds great - but I need a little help with my fears of the unknown. I have been a CaptiveWorks user for a couple of years; therfore the rest of the setup looks like things I have seen before.

Before you spend $400.00 you need to do some reading. All of the answers to your questions can be found in past posts. I, personally, wouldn't purchase an HD model until Nfusion is more reliable.

If Im not mistaken you can not get any locals on an IKS system other than the locals that the iks server gets in its area.

im running mind with direct hook up, no IKS BOXES JUST RECIVER, is there no looks this way?

I would check what is using COM1 port. Any devices as modem, camera, etc.
Disable that device and try again.

I have no other devices connected. I have the RS232 that came with the solaris connected to the back of the box and then connected to a USB to Serial port cable into my laptop. I had to buy the adaptor as my laptop does not have RS232 outlet.

Are you using any USB devices that may use COM ports? Since you're using serial to USB adopter you need a driver to be installed on your laptop. Check the device manager for COM port connection.

Before you do anything, go to computer forum and ask how to configure laptop and USB to serial adopter. There are guys who will guide you step-by-step. IMO you don't have anything wrong with your receiver, just communication issue.

STEP 1: Install the Software
First, download and install the driver for your version of Windows.

STEP 2: Plug-in the Hardware
Connect the USB-to-serial adapter to your PC's USB port, and follow the on-screen instructions
STEP 3: Set the Right COM Port

Double click PORTS (COM & LPT), and look for ***** USB-to-SERIAL Comm Port

so im new to this just helping a buddy out who got a nfusion box set with the powerline adapters. I want to know what to do, if i just load the file and hook it up and ill be fine? or if i need to hook the box up to the powerline adapters and setup on IKS, he does nto care about locals just ppv and internations and movies. Sorry i was not sure about anything, as i said new to the fta iks and stuff...never really messed much with this....so i do need iks becuase its being connected to the net..thanks for clearing things up...much respect...my friend told me he gets an error saying something about IP....im not sure if he is doing something wrong...

I'm getting either:

i-off/n-on/p-off/emu-off/suns connected
OR

i-on/n-on/p-off/emu-off/suns not connected

depending on what I reboot last. Cannot seem to get i=on and suns=connected at the same time.

update on my status...got it going...just had to make sure the internet cable was in all the way and was able to get an ip...after that it was plug and play...

Hey guys...new to the Phoenix and Nfusion

Couple issues: when i turn on the stb it says "Fail, no device"

also i am able to see the freebe channels on 119 (101) but when i try to view another channel i get

"service not available
"I-on, n-on,p-off,emul-off, suns disconnected"

I am running
Boot 1.30
SW 1.51.3

using a linksys wrt110 router hard wired.

Any help would be appreciated.
