Give a little more info. I've got one also and I noticed that they need a little more attention than the CW800S. Let me know how I can help you.

Hi Genie,
At first, I could load bin or scaned and power off and on,there's no problem.
quality and strenght level are good is 85% and more to 93% .I've an old Pansat@fortec star ultra .I just bought this CW ultima last week . so when I TRIED to new bin,it's not work either. I GO IN (the FORUM) and then to put 1.94 by cw700's teller .I FOLLOWED by his instruction, by then I LOAD new bin and load 1.94, it's blocked and I waited too long and after that I turned the power off and turn it on again,it's stuck now. IT show ( Boot) on the screen everytime I turn swicth on,not respond.
I think it may be black out, the power or something else.So could you help to reboot it back,Brother ??? . how can I DO IT ? your ideas can save my sats, THANKS BROTHER in advance.

Kyle,
Double check to see if you installed the right bin. It looks as if you used a bin for a CW700. If so, there may be a serious problem. You need to use the lates CW Ultima file. (CW_Utima_V1.27_2009_02_16.zip) Try a hard reset by using the switch in the back. If you can access the menu features, do a factory reset, then load the latest bin file. (CW_Utima_V1.27_2009_02_16.zip) Setup your Sats and Blind Scan for the channels. Apply the patch, (F1 0000) and enjoy tv.

Tambla,
1st download the latest bin file located here (http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=31663&d=1235131965) and save it to your USB drive.
2nd insert USB into receiver. Press USB button and select the previously downloaded file. Allow it to install completely and reboot.
3rd set up sats and do a blind scan for each satellite you are pointed at.
4th press F1 then 0000 to enable the patch. At this point you should have some TV.

Try using the 232 cable to restore a factory bin. I have no real experience with the 232 as I use the USB primarily. Perhaps one of the more knowledgable members help out.

I haven't tried loading thru cable with the Ultima but did w/ the 800. Should be the same, you need to:
Download CW loader(use the search option on this site)
Download the latest Ultima file
Only using the RS232 cable that came with the Ultima, connect your Ultima to your computer.
Using your computer, open the loader
Select the latest using the browse button
Start the download, DO NOT INTERRUPT SOFTWARE UPDATE!
