I followed most of the advised i got. However, I still get the same message "box is clone". Is there anything we can do if box is clone besides contacting the dealer? Grateful for any advise.

No..if you entered the serial correct and you still see the clone message..Then you have a clone..return it.

Captive works has released a new file that allows you to input serial # again. they say it works for original but not clones. read the release notes that were issued with file. For boxes with 10 digit serial #s, you should only input the first 9 digits.

Here is another procedure that worked for me C/P from another site.

1 factory default
2 load factory bin 1.02 (2007 version)
3 Factory default
4 load factory bin 1.02 again (2007 version)
5 factory default
6. load bin 1.96
7 input serial #
8 Factory default, scan sats, fix settings
9 Enable patch F1 000

This is the only procedure I have found to work consistently and allows you to input your serial number. I tried this twice last night and it worked each time.
