can anybody help with a link to download from the box.. i am giving upon searching for it.. i lost the one i had.. thanks to that non working update and i had to reinstall the os..

I think the SC update that you want should be in the files section.

hello everyone im new to the computer so please bear with the newbie ok so downloading and all of these new things are a bit overwhelming for me

the best feature of this bulk piece of junk is the updates download, from the convenience of your couch.. compared to any other box in the market, it does it the best.. you need not fiddle with wires and drives..

you go to update->downloads and add a server to download the sc-update and click download if any available.. then go back to install and install the downloaded package..

i lost that url to that beautiful site i use to use :(-

Hmm, is it possible to put a link into that updates part of the software so we can just update our SC updates that way? That would be really cool.

I found an ftp site somewhere for these updates. I plugged it into my CW-4000HD and entered in the username and password and it shows the file named "cw-lmc-sc-update-10-16.bin". Is this maybe a link that you guys would be looking for? I don't know if they would allow me to post it here, but you can PM me if you want it.

The update server you are referring to has released the following information:

"This site will be down for 12 to 24 hours while newer servers are being installed. Sorry for any problems this may cause any member but we are trying to fix a problem before it becomes a really BIG problem.

DNS may take up to 24 hours before everyone will reach us. Again sorry for having to do this but it is a must do."

I already know that its down. f2atv is another forum and their whole forums are down right now. The link used to work before they went down. At this time I can't even find an update to fix my receiver. It seems like maybe this box is not supported well like sonicview and viewsat.

CW Has great support. All updates are available in the files section of most DSS sites. You just have to install them manually via USB Memory Stick or CD until F2ATV is back up.
