I just want to know what I would need to get HD channels and which HD channels would I receive. I am in Texas. Thank you. ludeandmalicious 10-21-2008, 03:02 PM I just made the switch from the 3500 myself and it is great once all setup. You will need a pansat 9200hd w an 8psk module, an hd tv, and to point either your current dish at sat 129 or hood another up to the existing. Or even better buy a 1000.2 dish. You will receive all channels in hd on sat 129 as well as a few on 110 such as espn hd net hbo. check lyngsat for all channels. hope this helped dagreek 10-21-2008, 07:23 PM Is it difficult to find sat 129, I've been pointing to 110 and 119 for years. Also what is dish 1000.2? I just want to make sure i know what I'm doing before I purchase the 9200. Thanks so much for your help. ludeandmalicious 10-21-2008, 09:02 PM No its not that difficult. Use dishpointer.com and a sat finder to setup. Also, after some research the 1000.2 Dish is not a good dish for this unit as the unit does not produce enough juice to power the dish. The setup I currently am using is a dp500 dual lnb for 110 119 with a second sat (dish 500 legacy lnb) aimed at 129. I have the second sat connecting to the input lnb of the sat aimed at 110 119. Either this way or a dp34 switch to combine the sats to one receiver or multiple receivers. The main thing to pay attention to when buying the 9200 is to make sure it either comes with an 8psk board (ninja or illuminati). W/O the board no hd channels can be received (except from the provider up north). Also worth mentioning is the second versions of the 9200 have a build in fan to relieve any heating issues. My unit does not have the fan and I have yet to encounter any problems, but if I would have known, I would have purchase w/ fan. |
